Local people started to br brought into the emergency rooms in abdominal pain and some seriously ill. What was in common for them, day by day as new ones came in? Tracked down finally as from food with poison. Some almost died, were in ICU and lucky to be alive later. Had to narrow the source to some place in common. One store was found. Finally surveillance showed the supermarket a couple of miles away from me, showing the open salad and food bar, with a dorky young man in his twenties spraying clear mist from a bottle up his shirt cuff. Had been doing it for weeks.
Yes, trial. No, jail time after being held the few days at first. Judge ruled his mother could watch him at home and report any trouble, he had to see a psychiatrist once a week followed by once a month.

As a Baby Boomer I don’t quite understand that, since they were such a small percentage of that generation, but they certainly won out in how people dress, and that must mean a lot. People dress sloppy now, including the women, which is odd. For my mother’s generation, they would not step out of the house unless they were all prettied up.
I would say recreational drugs is the real culprit that started big time in that generation, but I don’t think that was a majority.
Don’t kid yourself about Fetterman. He is a hard leftist, just not of the stupid variety.
Drugs was a big part of the Hippie movement.
The hippies urged recreational drugs and sex, and serenaded us with rock and roll while doing it.
He makes no sense. Our access to our “small-r republican” government officials is by our vote, by phone, email or snail mail to their offices, and through the offices of our congresspersons. We do not have a right to invade their privacy and threaten their homes by mob action, which is what he seems to be implying.

Just like they are now going after Fetterman as he has become known as a staunch ally for Israel, and has been more willing to break with progressive Democrats on a number of issues.
