When I was five years old, in 1954, we drove down LA’s Skid Row—5th and Main. Seeing the derelicts there, the broken people, and I had my heart broken for the first time—it has never left me and is still vivid in my memory. The faces have changed, but....
An acquaintance of ours took us down there back in 2000. As we got close to the mission we noticed lots of bums just setting around doing nothing.
He said they sleep somewhere, then come out in the morning for their breakfast meal, then set around all day for the noon meal, then sit all around for the evening meal, then disappear back into their holes till the next day.
We noticed some old bum giving a lecture to a bus stop bench. Thing is there was no one on the bench.
With the million of Indians who we brought over to take our tech jobs, surprise, surprise.

Compared to 2025, 1954 LA was a beautiful shinning city on the hill. The entire city and county are now FULL of homeless derelicts and worse...And it goes far beyond skid row.
You better reboot and get updated.
Stop saying unhoused. They are vagrants and/or drug addicts who CHOOSE this way of living. And in California they are subsidized by welfare and “disability” payments from taxpayers.
LA and California itself proves once again big massive populations are no guarantee of success. In fact, I’d say it’s just the opposite. Look at the most populated countries like India and China.

I was at a Thanksgiving dinner in 2020 where an Australian journalist was present. She mentioned that where she was staying in Los Angeles wasn’t too far from a large homeless camp where no one was vaxxed.
The homeless would come and go as they pleased and the place was not littered with bodies; no one had dropped dead. There was no indication of any pandemic at all in that inadvertent control group.
