Nearly the entire staff of the Pentagon’s elite tech unit will resign by the end of April after being sidelined by the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), sources told Politico Tuesday.
The mass resignations will effectively shut down the 14-person Defense Digital Service (DDS), which was created in 2015 to inject Silicon Valley-style speed and innovation into national security projects. DDS staffers told Politico they were left out of major reform efforts spearheaded by DOGE, prompting an exodus.

Well................DIE
Meritocracies are always the best
Good news. Clear out the dead wood. Downsize the bureaucracy. Promote those who are efficient. Demote those who are sluggards. (If they are in the civil service, it is difficult to fire them outright.)
I wonder if they were service members, and if so, can you just decide one day not to show up for work anymore?
And they can take their greenbar paper along with the dot matrix printers home with them to make Snoopy pictures in Watt-5.
14 peopls do not make a ‘staff’
(rolls eyes) Drama much?
Nearly $1 Trillion a year goes through DoD.
Its right up there with Social Security and HHS-medicaid/medicare for the potential for fraud, waste and bloat.
If you were doing the job, I bet DOGE wouldn't even be looking at you.
Maybe they all forgot to list the 5 things they did each week.
I guess ten year old (2025-2015) IT technology is no longer cutting edge. Those guys resigning together sound pretty childish. There was probably a much better way to handle the whole thing.
I bet it will be a shock to them that nobody uses 5 1/4 floppies.
2015? my guess part of BO’s crew to keep him and his handlers in the know, thwarted Trump and now with Trump back in and him cleaning out the fraud, they are waste.
My thoughts exactly
What have they been doing all this time
Bye bye
The fact that DOGE could go in there and streamline things in a couple of months while the DOD techies couldn’t do it after 10 years tells us that they were either incompetent, lazy government workers of saboteurs.
It’s a bad marriage, government and technology. Government likes things predictable and same same. I’ll bet there are whole departments still using XP.
Technology is changing 24/7/365.
Hell, they were the ones to upgrade from 8” ones.
No.................
Oh gosh!
Pride went forward, and then the fall.
Proved again.
