A recent report indicates that Mike Waltz, President Donald J. Trump‘s National Security Advisor, had left his Venmo account openly accessible to the public. This revelation adds to the growing controversy surrounding his involvement in a group chat that allegedly leaked sensitive military strategies to the media. Waltz’s Venmo profile, bearing his image, was accessible until it was set to private Wednesday after numerous media inquiries.
The account’s public friend list contained 328 individuals, including figures such as Walker Barrett of the National Security Council and Susie Wiles, chief of staff at the White House. Both Barrett and Wiles were mentioned in connection with a Signal messaging group where planning for a U.S. military operation in Yemen was reportedly leaked, stirring significant concern in the capital. Politicians, including Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), and media figures, like Bret Baier, were also among Waltz’s connections on the app.
Amid an intense response from Washington’s political circles, Waltz accepted full accountability for the controversy, despite President Trump’s statement suggesting a “lower level” staff member had caused the issue. Democrat lawmakers on Capitol Hill have called for the resignations of both Waltz and Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of Defense who shared the allegedly sensitive information regarding airstrike schedules.
Following the inquiry by reporters, Waltz and Wiles opted to set their Venmo accounts to private. The exposure of private dealings and a chain of high-profile political and media figures attests to potential vulnerabilities in maintaining security and privacy in digital spaces. The incident has triggered demands for stricter oversight and accountability in data and operational security, highlighting the complexities faced by those in governmental advisory roles.

seems Waltz isn’t paranoid enough
Bret Baier I get, heck if Sean Hannity had been involved in the chat I dont think anyone would have been surprised, but seriously, why why why is it always that prick Jeffrey Goldberg, why, of everyone on God’s green earth did it have to be that guy, AGAIN
A Venmo account gasp...So what? It’s not the ccount that matters. It’s what might be transmitted on social media that counts...like hildabeast emails for example.
I want to add why would you have friends listed on venmo?
“on God’s green earth did it have to be that guy, AGAIN”
Is he perhaps loyal to some other country?
To send them your share of the dinner bill.
Venmo is a payment app. It’s for money transfer. What the heck is money being transferred for? We need to know who was/is sending/receiving money to/from top cabinet members.
Bwahaha—now the media are claiming that illegal leakers need to be let off the hook for “accidentally” sending sensitive info to reporters (wrecking ICE raids):

You can be supportive of Israel and not be friends with that prick. I support Israel, you dont see me following Goldberg on X he makes my skin crawl
Adding up all the sloppy facts about Mike Waltz, makes me wonder how anyone hired him for anything, let alone high government office.
He’s got to go, sooner the better. Cut your losses, Donald.
Exactly. Who is getting paid? And for what?
If you have him on any contact list, you are suspect in my book. Why, unless you plan to leak stuff would you have such an anti-Trump person on your list?
Yeah. Who uses it for contacts?
I’m calling BS.
I don’t like Mike Waltz. Oozes ick and deep state RINO type vibes. That’s just me judging book by cover.
Not sure why Trump picked him in the first place. I mean some are saying that Waltz did this to bring down Hegseth but I dont see that as the case as Waltz doesnt look any better in all this, so he brought himself down in order to bring down Hegseth
Venmo Cryptocurrency Acceptance
Venmo allows users to buy, sell, and hold cryptocurrencies within the app. However, it does not support payments or purchases with crypto, peer-to-peer trades, or transferring crypto to other accounts on or off the app, including your own wallet.
If this story is true and accurate and Waltz has people in his contact list who are hostile to the Trump administration/agenda, then, I’m sorry, but he and anybody else that these type of contacts have to go. With what we witnessed in the 45 administration, there can be zero tolerance for this type of stuff.
