Mass. judge demands answers after Tufts student detained by federal agents is rushed to Louisiana [the same liberal Indira Talwani blocked ICE in 2019]

In a statement, a DHS spokesperson said agents detained Ozturk because she “engaged in activities in support of Hamas.”
“Rumeysa Ozturk is a Turkish national and Tufts University graduate student who was granted the privilege to be in this country on a visa. DHS and ICE investigations found Ozturk engaged in activities in support of [[Hamas]], a foreign [[terrorism|terrorist]] organization that relishes the killing of Americans,” the statement read. “A visa is a privilege, not a right. Glorifying and supporting terrorists who kill Americans is grounds for visa issuance to be terminated. This is commonsense security.”...
However, Ozturk was already “detained outside Massachusetts” when the petition and order were issued. Turkish national Mass. judge demands answers after Tufts student detained by federal agents is rushed to Louisiana

“rushed to Louisiana”

I knew a of a guy who got a DUI after overstaying his visa.

Yes they took him to Louisiana after he was arrested, maybe a day or two later.

The article makes it sound like the Feds were trying to hide something which I don’t think they are in this case.

Put her on the next flight to Turkey.

No harm done at all to her. Back to her home country.

But she’d be out of here!

But all the leftist judges want her to remain here, ya see, to continue to cause trouble.

Well, in any case, the lawyers for Ms. Ozturk can demand Habeas...in the 5th Circuit.

Let’s see how Judge Talwani tries to assert jurisdiction. Should be interesting.

And thus subject to arrest.

When the left is back in charge and they start deporting Christian and Catholic VISA holders, I hope I don’t hear any of you complaining about it.

How you all don’t see where this is going to end up is truly astonishing to me.

Ignore the idiot. The judge is weighing in on things outside their jurisdiction. It’s a Louisiana case now.

If you listen to Sarah Adams on Shawn Ryan, she talks about over a 1,000 ISIS fighters in the US and most have come through legal means vs. crossing the border.

Put them on military transport, fly them directly out. Let the air crews get productive flight training time. Throw ‘em out the rear when over the country, parachute or not.

It’s not America’s job to take in the sewage other countries are getting rid of. We are not the septic tank to the world.

On Friday, a federal judge in Massachusettes ruled a shirt that read “THERE ARE ONLY TWO GENDERS” could be construed as bullying of a protected class and is not protected speech
= = =

Reading The Constitution is also bullying of a protected class.

I remember The Big Guy once boasting that he ignored a SCOTUS order on student loan forgiveness. IRC he shouted “they tried to block me but they didn’t stop me”.
