I don’t know that much about the internal affairs at my local Krogers and Meijers. I just know that since 2020, their hours of operation were reduced and that if they went back to 24 hours then I’d chalk it up to a return to relative normalcy.
Look harder. Dropping where I live.
My local grocery store when off the 24 hour thing during COVID. They are now 8:00AM to 11:00PM.
I asked the manager when they are going back to 24 hour operation.
“Probably never.”
Seems that they can’t find people willing to work the hours they are open now.
They are about to get some serious competition. We are having a Market Street (basically a high-end Albertsons) opening in month. They, supposedly, will be a 24 hour store.
