Again. WHY does anyone not working in any current administration have access to national security information?

There are a number of private companies that have employees with security clearances. Not all of their employees, but enough for them to be able to do business for the government.

My son had one so he could work on stuff for the government. Very few in the large company had one.
all correctional workers have to have a secret clearance for the activities and records not scif level but to stay legal.
I seem to recall that they had a desk at FBI headquarters
