For months, the talk has been about weapons, aid, and financial support. Now, NATO countries are openly discussing sending troops into Ukraine, bypassing the U.S. in the process. If that happens, and Russia responds? Article 5 gets invoked. Suddenly, it’s not just Ukraine’s war anymore—it’s World War 3.
British PM Keir Starmer has already announced that the UK is preparing to put boots on the ground. This isn’t speculation—it’s happening. Western troops are about to be thrown into the fight, and no one is stopping to ask if this is a good idea.

The key word being “talking”. 🙄
Oops!! 😁
I saw a PODCAST showing a pie chart, that is.
and how they end
Russia invaded Ukraine. This initiated the current world war.
“Dunkirk”
“Gallipoli”
Yeah, they did the “smart” thing and quit after those disasters…er, wait a minute, maybe you guys are trying to remind and encourage people to press on in the face of disaster.
NATO is an alliance of very diverse countries and this idea could cause it to dissolve (not necessarily a bad thing). France and the UK need to check with Poland, Hungary, the Swedes, the Finns, the Balts, and Turkey about putting in “NATO” troops. Article V isn’t supposed to be a suicide pact.
Not really. Let’s say fighting breaks out...NATO sends more troops into the fight...little things like Article 5 are not going to mean much when they start shipping body bags back...then why isn’t NATO launching airstrikes into Russia to support their troops, then Russia retaliates...then someone is pushing a button...things can get crazy PDQ.
One of the reasons why what Trump is doing seems foolish to me is that the Russian army has been unable to defeat the Ukrainians after three years with only a middling amount of arms supplied by the West.
If NATO were unified and actually brought its military to bear, the Russians would be quickly defeated in the field. They can't even establish air supremacy.
It's simply stupid to take a predatory power that has manifested its weakness as thoroughly as Russia has to be an opponent worthy of respect. It isn't.
On the other hand, if this a con job to give Putin a face saving way to back out of his current mess without any direct military confrontation, then kudos to Trump.
I guess we'll see.
Trump should tell NATO the day they do that we pull out.
NATO Peace keepers = troops. Russia has already said will not allow this.
Rape the local women?
“We’ll work up a Number 6 on ‘em.”
> things can get crazy <
Starmer has made it clear. He plans to send British troops as peacekeepers once a peace treaty is in place. He is not sending combat troops, as the article dishonestly makes it seem.
But yeah. You are 100% correct. Things can spin out of control in an instant. For example, a false flag attack on a British unit in Ukraine can set many ugly things in motion.
I would advise Starmer to quit pretending that the UK is still great power. What’s left of the British military would be better used trying to keep Muslim invaders out of the country.

Starmer is NO Winston Churchill and these times are not WWIII conflict style. If Russia keeps up the conflict and Zelensky refuses to come to the table, then we ought to invite people to leave the Ukraine and literally empty it out. NO BOOTS ON THE GROUND.
Thank you!

There’s an old story from 1950s about how Albert Einstein was a conference of some sort and someone asked, “Professor Einstein, what sort of weapons do you think will be used in World War 3?” Einstein supposedly responded, “I don’t know, but I’ll tell you what sort of weapons will be used in World War 4... sticks and stones.”
You do realize that if Russia or China thought they could nuke the US and suffer only 10 - 20 million dead, they would do it in a heartbeat.
