It looks like the FBI Keystone Kops have decided to play hardball. Apparently, they don’t work for the Department of Justice or the President of the United States. They think they don’t need to turn the information on Epstein over to the Attorney General or the Director of the FBI who are their superiors. If they ignore the deadline, they will be guilty of insubordination and subject to immediate firing. Disobeying orders is a serious offense in law enforcement and they should know Trump is looking for a reason to fire as many dirty cops as possible.
This may have been another test from Trump, you can do this the easy way or the hard way, you choose. They chose the hard way and now they have to make another choice real quick. This is not a hill you want to die on but as always he has a way of making people get wrapped up in their hatred of Trump and MAGA they do not act rationally and expose themselves for exactly who they are.
Unfortunately, some of his friends have shown who they are and are throwing Bondi and Kash under the bus when in reality it is the FBI who is entirely at fault. Nobody should think this cleaning out of the sewer was going to be easy but Bondi gave them a chance. If the New York office decides to go rogue and fight the Trump administration they would be giving Trump the reason to close the entire building and fire the agents, good riddance to one of the most corrupt districts in the country.
Once an agency becomes too powerful for decades it begins to believe they are more powerful than any one President. When they become too attached to a political Party like the DNC Syndicate and have been the enforcement arm since Clinton and then Barak you begin to believe you run the country and during Biden, did.
It is not like the Epstein names have not been hidden for years so for them holding the information back for a few days in a hopeless gesture is fine. Expose yourselves for which side you want to be on and go find work elsewhere. You have to expect they will not poke the Bear for knowing it will be the last bear you poke in your miserable life. There is no possible way to have a police agency who will not follow orders.
The Deep State is testing Bondi, Patel, and Trump like they did in his first term with having Jeff Sessions recuse himself, not this time. If it is hardball they want it is hardball they will get. Hope they enjoy chin music at 100 mph. Trump does not have time for insubordination and will not tolerate it and especially with an agency which has harassed him for ten years.
A number of them have nothing to lose since losing their jobs is the least of their worries. There are a number of senior staffers who may be looking at prison after what they did to Trump and Epstein. When the entire story is exposed, it may be far worse than anyone imagined with the hands in the conspiracy going deep into these Keystone Kops. It may be a case of firing the entire agency and starting over which may be the best way to reestablish the Keystone Kops to their former character.
Most are saying this was a mistake by Pam Bondi but in reality this may have been a test which they failed miserably. Hopefully, they do the right thing in a couple hours and decide to stop this foolish standoff. Kash should be on the doorstep with the locksmith and senior team at 8:01 and explain the rules loud and clear. If they continue to fight replace them with ICE agents and let the corrupt cops go.

The dirty little secret is that most FBI agents never make an arrest in their entire careers. If they do it is as one member of a team of 15 agents. Or when they take custody of the bank robber the local cop captured for them.
Remember when Bubba Smith found the “noose” on his nascar garage? A minivan full of agents showed up.
Back of the envelope math shows FBI agents to be 40 times less likely to be in a shootout with a bad guy than a local cop.
Today they are filled with poser and woke girls like the BLM kneelers and the backflipping dancing homo in Denver who lost his pistol and shot someone in the ankle.
As you said, US Marshals actually go after bad guys, at their homes.
My money is on Bondi, Patel, Bongino and Trump.
