Harmeet Dhillon, the attorney nominated to lead the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice, said in her confirmation hearing on Wednesday that corporations that use diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) racial quotas could be prosecuted under federal civil rights law.
In an exchange with Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., Dhillon was asked about a 2023 initiative from retail corporation Target to hire 20 percent more black employees, in what Schmitt said was an “overt racial quota system” prohibited by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
“Senator, if the facts are as you just described them, I believe that practice is illegal and unconstitutional,” Dhillon said. As head of the Civil Rights Division, Dhillon would be charged with enforcing federal civil rights law and bringing prosecutions against public and private entities that violate it.

Another area I am hopeful that Dhillon will look at is hate crimes. Thus far, it seems to be that if there is a perceived hate crime of a white person against a black person, the office of civil rights is all in. But, there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm to prosecute hate crimes when blacks murder, rape, or severely injure white people.
Love it!
For almost 60 years we have been waiting to be treated equal, do it for the young.
During the time from the mid 80’s to the mid 2000’s, I got passed over for promotions many times by women and minorities who I HAD TO TEACH THEM HOW TO DO THEIR JOBS! They got paid more and had more perks.
My karma (Peace) is that I have no debt and can retire early while most of those people can never retire because of their lifestyle choices.
I never dreamed we would see such a counterrevolution.
My personal stories start around 1970 and the last time I tried for a job working for someone else, the County said they were only hiring women for the job.
I was passed over also and much less qualified men and women were promoted over me. I finished my career and it’s all in the past now and I am at peace. I am thankful to my Father in Heaven to have lived long enough to see a man such as Trump come along, and bring hell with him because so many deserve it!
Bump!!!
As they should.
“I am thankful to my Father in Heaven to have lived long enough to see a man such as Trump come along”
I believe that about 99% of us here have the same mindset.
Thank you!
Victor Davis Hanson on February 21: Trump's Counter-Revolution And The Return To Normalcy. "This is a restoration, let's use the word restoration."
“I believe that about 99% of us here have the same mindset.”
Affirming that!
Amen to that! I especially felt this while watching the (simply awesome) display of our President at today's Cabinet meeting.
Yep, I use to ask all the white liberal managers who were gung ho pro Affirmative Action what was going to happen 50 years in the future after they had actively encouraged discriminated against a couple of generations of white males. My timing was a bit off but the day of reconning is now here.
You know, I used to say this. Then I got used to it and just assumed nothing would ever happen.
I personally saw this up close. I interviewed for an ‘executive architect’ position at a big company, went through 4 VP’s, all very happy - then the pause began. I was told to ‘be patient’, then I saw the job posted via the ‘Professional Diversity Network’. A group dedicated to ‘companies building a diverse workforce’.
I told them I was rescinding my candidacy. I’m not playing this game. I was very qualified, good luck finding a better candidate - period. Let alone a ‘DEI hire’. I was angry, it was clearly discrimination, I was the wrong race and gender....which is illegal.
A prior employer had a ‘career page’ on their web site. Two pie charts, one for 2022, another for 2023. It showed ‘white males’ as the largest slice, with ‘minorities/women’ as the other. Guess which shrunk and which grew for the 2023 year? There’s only two ways to accomplish that. Layoff white men, or only hire, disproportionately, minorities/women. IT’S ILLEGAL....yet companies were emboldened to ADVERTISE IT.
I remember telling my wife, this is going to come back and bite these companies at some point.
MORE WINNING!!!
they should. I dont understand why there are not more lawsuits against companies that violated Civil Rights and EEO laws.
In addition to going after corporations that use Didn’t Earn It (DEI) racial quotas, let’s see them go after local, county, state, and federal government agencies that have quotas for DEI firms on government contracts.
Absolutely!!!
My ex tried out for the CHP. Aced everything - written test, physical test, etc. - only to watch the fat, black and female candidates score higher because of added points for their blackness and femaleness. The guy administering the tests told him that's the way it is now.
Bailed on that angry scene and got his computer science degree and never looked back.
