Maybe I'm a little too optimistic, but can we start a discussion thread on SC politics here, and share what's going on in our areas of operation?

The SC GOP has done some major maneuvering to try to hang on to control of the SC Republican Party this year. They are desperate.

In 2023 at the SC GOP Convention MAGA only failed by about 18 votes in gaining control of the SC GOP. If SC MAGA can take control of the SC GOP from Drew McKissick and the SC RINO establishment this will go a long way in letting the RIONs know that we are serious about rooting out the RINOs from the SC Senate, House and US Senate and House.

The following is from Jeff Davis, mySCGOP.com and the Greenville, SC Republican Party Feb. 5, 2025 (One of the "Good Guys")

Dear South Carolina Patriots,

Determining and reporting to you the number of delegates per precinct is a complete mess for 2025. On December 17th, 2024, Drew McKissick presented 4 options to the SCGOP State Executive Committee. The only problem, Rule 4(2)(6) only allows for 2 options (see below). And to make things even worse, Drew suggested, and the "DrewBots" on the State EC agreed on, an option that does not comply with the Rules. They voted for the June 11th, 2024 Primary option - total ballots cast - Republicans and DEMOCRATS!!! So yes ... Democrats will be helping determine the number of delegates for our 2025 SCGOP ReOrg.

Is it unclear that Drew McKissick is a "problem"?

To try and "fix" this issue and allow for MORE delegates so that we can GROW the SCGOP and your local County Republican Party ... I was one of 8 State ECs to call for a Special Meeting to reconsider this error. We wanted to use the February 24th, 2024, Presidential Preference Primary (as per the Rules) - a solution that would generally give precincts MORE delegates per precinct.

Shouldn't we us Republican votes to determine the Republican delegates? Isn't more better? Don't we want more MAGA / America First TRUMP supporters? Well, apparently Drew, et al. don't.

That Special Meeting was held via ZOOM last Friday night (1/31/2025) ... but as expected the "establishment" State Executive Committee voted it down. Only 14 SCGOP State ECs voted in favor of reconsidering ... the 11 America First State ECs (Greenville, Pickens, Anderson, York, Fairfield, Dorchester, Lexington, Kershaw, Lee, Barnwell & Colleton) ... as well as 3 other Drew voters that switched this time, likely from pressure within their counties.

For instruction on "how" to calculate your precinct delegates, see this mySCGOP article from March 3rd, 2023: Here, .

If and when we get accurate precinct delegate counts - we will post them online for all to see. Stay tuned ...

[NOTE: To compound the problem, the total delegates presented by Drew McKissick at the December 17th meeting ... for 11 of the 46 counties ... are calculated incorrectly. No one has been able to reconcile the numbers ... and there even appears to be some discrepancies with the vote counts being presented by the SC State Election Commission. We can only assume they will fix the errors ... but overall it is a big mess.]

If the South Carolina MAGA folks are not advocating the repeal of GOP Open Primaries, then they are part of the problem.

Absolutely nothing! To the voters of South Carolina, Lindsey Graham is revered as god. He will remain a power in South Carolina for the next thousand years, at least.

They do nothing. It’s a Dixie democrat thing or the redneck brotherhood. Familiar name gets reelected over and over again even though he doesn’t have his states interests in mind, only personal enrichment just like them all.

As long as South Carolina has open primaries, Democrats will help choose GOP candidates. End result is Rinos. No amount of grass roots reorganization will be effective until the primaries are closed.
