Let's send American troops to Ukraine!
Bear with me.
Let’s be honest: If Democrats and neoconservatives truly believe in “saving democracy” in Ukraine, they should either push for direct U.S. military involvement—meaning American soldiers fighting and dying alongside Ukrainians—or admit that this war is unwinnable.
Right now, Ukraine is losing. The territory map tells the story, the desertion rates confirm it, and even mainstream media outlets can’t deny it anymore. Russia has already secured its key objectives—a land bridge to Crimea and control of the separatist regions. Short of a full-scale war with NATO, those gains aren’t going anywhere.
Yet, instead of facing reality, Democrats and their media allies keep up the same tired rhetoric—demanding more money, more weapons, and more sacrifice, but only from Ukrainians. They have no answer for what “victory” actually looks like, and no real strategy beyond throwing endless U.S. taxpayer dollars at a failing cause.
At this point, there are only two choices: Go all in and send American troops to fight Russia directly, or push for a peace deal that stops the bloodshed. But as long as Ukraine is willing to keep fighting, Washington will keep using them as cannon fodder.
IMO it is the democrats who want to see Russia win the conflict in Ukraine.
democrats are 100% gung-ho on the war in Ukraine and they're all over X with it.
That notable intellectual Billy Baldwin:
The US has joined Russia, Belarus and North Korea to vote against the UN resolution to support Ukraine. This by itself should be enough of a red flag to unite Democrats and Republicans. This isn't Red State vs. Blue State anymore... it's democracy vs dictatorship.Ed Davey:
The US just voted alongside Russia, Belarus and North Korea against a UN resolution to support Ukraine. This is a wake-up call for all those cheerleading Trump in our country.Becca Balint (D-VT)
I never thought I would see the day when our President would be a puppet for a dictator. To my Republican colleagues, did you ever imagine that you would be in a party that stands on the side of dictators.. Aren't you embarrassed by what you've become? It's revolting to watch my colleagues side with Russia because Trump said so.Nancy Pelosi
Today marks three years of the Ukrainian people fighting for their freedom against Putin’s brutal, illegal invasion. Ukraine’s fight is for democracy itself — and the U.S. vote in the UN today is contrary to our longstanding support of democracy. America must stand united with our allies against autocracy. Democrats support peace, and there cannot be an agreement on Ukraine without Ukraine. The perennially witless Sen. Amy Klobuchar D-(MN)
I’m proud to stand with the people of Ukraine, President Zelenskyy, and the soldiers I joined in Minnesota to mark three years since the brutal invasion of Ukraine. They are fighting for democracy and freedom — and we must continue to support them.Zelenskyy is prepared to fight to his last soldier
Three years of resistance. Three years of gratitude. Three years of absolute heroism of Ukrainians. I am proud of Ukraine! I thank everyone who defends and supports it. Everyone who works for Ukraine. And may the memory of all those who gave their lives for our state and people be eternal. The notable Vietnam hero Sen. Dick Blumenthal, who wouldn't fight in Vietnam while later bragging about his service there had this to say about Trump's efforts at a peace plan:

Democrats push lies
Democrats believe in lies
It always ends in disaster
Coms down,,,break out the carrier pigeons.
Ukraine is a Dictatorship or Kleptocracy.
Nothing at all democratic about the place.
Ukraine has collapsed. Three years ago the Russians had only advanced to within 19 miles of Kiev. Today they have advanced to within 275 miles of Kiev.
/s
The vaunted "freeze Ukraine" destruction of infrastructure hasn't worked for the Russians, the Pokrovsk offensive is stalled and the Ukrainians are taking some territory from the south pincer back and killing lots of Norks and Russians in Kursk, etc.
If they keep killing Russians at 8-10:1, Ukraine wins, although at a terrible cost.
The war should end: Ukraine should take Trump's deal to ensure a continuous US presence that prevents further attacks, but Russia will also have to give up Kherson and Zaporazhia, especially the NPP.
Putin will get all of Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea: not much more than what he started with, plus a gradual removal of sanctions.
> Ukraine is a Dictatorship or Kleptocracy.
> Nothing at all democratic about the place.
Irrelevant. Russian growth in hegemony is the issue, and something worth significant resources to stop.
China and Russia. The weaker the better.
Better to weaken Russia by flooding the world with cheap oil & gas.
I'm wondering what Germany will do....
Bet they wish they had Russian Gas available.
And I'm betting that will happen, too. Russia will again provide the EU countries with gas...through Ukraine's lines. Ukraine charges them a fee and made a couple billion each year until "Z" said did not renew the gas contract in Jan 2025.
We'll have to see how it plays out. At least...stop the killing.
Exactly right. Here’s an interesting take by George Friedman.

I think you’re right about gas transiting Ukraine. Plus the Baltic littoral states will never allow Nordstream to be resurrected, precisely because it contributed to Russia’s attack and weakened both Ukraine and Poland.
It’s easy to say that Russia started this war but it’s just not that simple. Ukraine gained its “independence” in 1991 with the breakup of the Soviet Union, but it remained a strong ally of Russia until 2014, when US (Obama and Victoria Nuland) meddled in the Presidential elections to the tune of $291 million and saw the pro-Russian President Yanukovych ousted in favor of Petro Poroshenko.
##
Actually, we fomented an illegal coup that resulted in Yanukovych illegally being removed from office before Poroshenko was elected.
You know one thing I never seem to hear about? I never hear anything about what the “man on the street” in Ukraine has to say. I have no idea what most of the Ukrainian citizens think about the war, and about any peace prospects. Seems like a blatant omission to me, and I would really like to know.
You will keep chanting “Slabo Ukraino” until the last Ukrainian. The regular Ukrainians don’t want to continue this war, that is why dictator George Washington Zelensky suspended elections, outlawed all other political parties, banned and stole the property of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and kills western journalists.
You are on the wrong side totalitarian.
The only "opposition" parties outlawed were paid for by Putin, and Ukraine shut them down just like we did the German Bund in WWII. There is a real Ukrainian Orthodox Church, but it's the one denied autocephaly by other churches paid off by Putin, not the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine which is just another Russian sock puppet. If you're concerned about churches, why don't you ask Putin about eveangelicals in Russia?
You're like the husband who beats his wife to ground and then complains she just lays around the house.
Like the Zeepers, the Democrats only support Ukraine because it is THEIR WAR, and the Republicans, and particularly Trump, oppose it.
Everything that is taking place in Ukraine currently is completely orchestrated. It is all for show. This includes all the virtue signaling from people such as yourself. You believe that your shameless mischaracterizations are going to make some type of difference? Dream on! The outcome has already been determined.
All you are accomplishing has been outing yourself as propaganda believing tool of the left who helped them pull off the biggest money laundering scheme in history. All the while you have been cheering on the deaths of millions and the complete destruction of a country who our leftist politicians essentially took over 10 years ago. They even used Zelensky to try and get rid of President Trump in the first impeachment. You have revealed yourself as someone who has been a follower of Joe “we wont do anything if it's a minor incursion” Biden. You are a bloodthirsty joke!
There's no more or no less "money laundering" involved in Ukraine than anything else the US government has been doing.
Based on the nonsense you believe and the vehemence with which you express it, like many here you've become unhinged, focusing all your disgust with the US regime on the Ukrainians whom you are using as a scapegoat. Despite your crocodile tears, you'd be perfectly happy to see the Ukrainians murdered, raped, and robbed by the Russians.
My wife and I live in an area with a huge number of Ukrainians and many Russians as well. More than a year ago friends of ours who are members of a large Ukrainian church began sponsoring boys who were sent abroad by their families after many of their school mates were abducted by persons “recruiting” for the Ukrainian military. These boys were mostly between the ages of 15 and 17. None knew if they would ever see their homes or families again.
So yes, we are very familiar with the situation and know others who have first-hand knowledge. Despite your virtue signaling, you are the one who has no sympathy or concern for the Ukrainian people or understanding of this situation. You are a very foolish person and your accusations against me are much more outrageous than you will ever realize.
Yeah Vietnam again
