Forty Four years later, almost to the MINUTE...
"On Jan. 20, 1981, Iran released 52 Americans who had been held hostage for 444 days, minutes after the presidency had passed from Jimmy Carter to Ronald Reagan."

The released Israeli hostages were held 471 days. Unfortunately, many hostages were murdered or died of natural causes in captivity, unlike the American hostages.

After all the hostages are released, I'd love to hear "Release the hounds of hell" on the perpetrators.

There is nothing like the threat of an incoming strong, bold American leader to get the bad guys to act. Just like there is nothing like a weak, feckless, impotent American "leader" to embolden the bad guys around the world.

As gratifying as the hostage release is, a harsh reality remains. Hamas, despite the battering it has taken and the ruination of their domain, remains a surviving entity, continues to be the governing force in Gaza, has succeeded in getting over a thousand convicted terrorists released from Israeli prisons. It, despite its barbarity, has somehow has managed to rally considerable suppport at American universities, within the Democratic Party among its elected officials and members, throughout the media and in Europe. Israel in addition to the dead hostages and those slaughtered on October 6, have in combat have had over 900 soldiers killed. History will not recors this as a great victory for Israel. They have succeeded in considerably weakening armed Palestinian opposition, but strategically little has changed.

Which is why they will never willingly release them.

(1.19.25).

After 471 days of war, the three abductees Romi Gonen, Emily Demari and Doron Steinbracher were released today (Sunday) from the captivity of Hamas in the Gaza Strip - and reached Israeli hands at the border of the Gaza Strip.

At 5:56 p.m., the IDF spokesman informed the people of Israel that “the three returnees are now being accompanied by an elite unit of the IDF and Shin Bet forces on their way to Israel, back to Israeli territory, where they will undergo an initial medical evaluation.” The announcement stated, “The commanders of the IDF and its soldiers salute and embrace the returnees on their way to Israel. The IDF spokesman asks the public to show responsibility and sensitivity and to respect the privacy of the returnees and their families.”

A few minutes later, the IDF spokesman announced that “the three returned civilians have now crossed with IDF and Shin Bet forces into Israeli territory. The returnees, accompanied by IDF and Shin Bet forces, crossed the border into the territory of the State of Israel a short time ago.” According to the announcement, “the returnees are now on their way to the initial reception point in the area surrounding Gaza, where they will receive an initial medical evaluation.”

At 18:25 the IDF spokesman announced that “the three returnees have now arrived at the initial reception point in the area surrounding Gaza, and they are now meeting with their mothers.” First, IDF representatives accompany the families to the hospital and provide them with regular updates.

The Director of Abducted, Returned and Missing Persons in the Prime Minister’s Office said: “How good that you came home.”

“The Directorate of Abductees, Returnees and Missing Persons [POW/MIA ]at the Prime Minister’s Office warmly congratulates Emily, Doron and Romi and their families, upon their return home.

The director will continue to accompany the returned girls, their families and all the families of the other abductees, in prayer and in the hope that they will all return home soon.”

A short time ago, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke with the coordinator of the Israel Defense Forces, Brigadier General Gal Hirsch, at the moment of the handover of the abductees Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbracher and Emily Demari to the IDF forces in the Gaza Strip.

Prime Minister Netanyahu: “This is an exciting day. I would like to convey to Romi, Doron and Emily - a whole people embraces you, happy returns home. We will bring them all back and achieve all the objectives of the war.’

Prime Minister: “Gal, can you hear me?”

The POW/MIA coordinator: “Yes, hello, Prime Minister, I am at the center of our operations, of the security system - with the Mossad, the Shin Bet, the IDF and with our entire system. I want to report to you that our abductees have been handed over to our forces and right now they are crossing the border into our territory. I’m very excited.”

Prime Minister: “Have they already crossed the border into Israel?”

The POW/MIA coordinator: “It’s really happening in these minutes, right now.”

The Prime Minister: “So as soon as this happens, I was informed that they are in the territory of our country. It is a very exciting day. These are the first abductees in this round that we are bringing home. I am asking for a wave that you give to them: to Rumi, Doron and Emily - a whole nation embraces you, welcome home.

I know, we all know, they’ve been through hell. They come out of darkness into the light, they literally come out of slavery to freedom. This moment was achieved thanks to the sacrifice and fighting of our heroic warriors - the heroes of Israel.

I also want to bring appreciation to everyone who contributed to this move. You will of course keep your NPCs open until we get them all back - that is one of the goals of the war. I emphasize to you as well, and to everyone who is listening to me now, that we will achieve all of our war goals.

The most important thing right now is to make sure that the manager in the Prime Minister’s office gives them all the envelope, all the support that needs to be given to them so that they absorb properly here at home. This is a big moment, an exciting moment. A big day. Many blessings.”

Gal Hirsch: “We will embrace them and continue and bring them all.”

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, MK Yuli Edelstein on the release of the abductees Rumi, Doron and Emily from the hands of the Hamas terrorist organization:

“To turn the hourglass from one big nightmare into one big rehabilitation.” These words of Eitan Gonen, Romi’s father, sum up the task of all of us now. To return everyone and all of them home and to restore the lives of the abductees, the families and the entire Israeli society.

We will not give up on achieving the goals of the war and overthrowing the rule of the terrorist organization Hamas, so that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel. [Shehechiyanu].”Blessed are You, L-rd our G‑d, King of the Universe, who has granted us life, sustained us and enabled us to reach this occasion.”

Shas Chairman Aryeh Deri said: “O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever!”.
“Together with all the people of Israel, I am excited to see Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbracher and Emily Demari - three of our sisters who were brutally kidnapped on October 7 by Hamas terrorists, get to return home today, after 471 days!”.
He also said: “I wish them to be reunited with their families soon in good health, and I pray for the release of all the abductees - that life will return to the bosom of their families, and that the dead will be brought to the Kever-Yisrael [Jewish burial] with dignity. The State of Israel is obligated to return everyone home with God’s help, this is our moral and Jewish duty!”

Defense Minister Israel Katz said: “Romi, Doron and Emily returned home. This is a moment of hope for an entire nation that now embraces them and their families in their hearts.
I salute the soldiers of the IDF, the security system and all those who worked with devotion to return them to the bosom of their families.
The State of Israel will not rest or be silent until every abductee returns home - the living to their families and those who are not between life and burial.”

State President Yitzhak Herzog said: “Romi, Emily and Doron - so loved and precious - a whole nation is happy that you are back.

We send a huge hug to you and your families. It is a day of joy and comfort, and the beginning of a challenging journey to restoration and healing together.

“A tearful eye and a happy heart” - at this time, our hearts go out to all the anxious and grieving families, whose loved ones have not yet returned. We will not rest or be quiet until we return all our sisters and brothers from the hell of captivity in Gaza - the living for restoration and their families and the dead for the grave of Israel.’

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich wrote: “Emily, Doron and Romi, welcome home! My heart goes out to you, our dear sisters! An entire nation is proud of you, tears with you, and hugs you endlessly!”.

The chairman of Torah Judaism, Minister Yitzhak Goldknopf wrote: “And the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion, and everlasting joy.”

Minister Yoav Ben Tzur wrote:
“And there is hope for thy future, saith the LORD; and thy children shall return to their own border.”

“Between despair and hope, between weakness and strength, an entire country clinging to faith.” After 471 days of uncertainty and immense anxiety for the fate of the abductees, we brought Romi, Doron and Emily home with tears of joy.

The State of Israel is obliged to act in every way to return the abductees to their families. We will not give up on anyone, this is our commitment, of all of us.

The Damari family, Gonen and Steinbracher, an entire country embraces and strengthens you, sorry that we failed to protect them, that we were not able to return them faster.’’

Minister of Communications Dr. Shlomo Karai said: “Blessed is He who releases the bound!” Romi, Doron and Emily returned home.
Despite the unbearably difficult images of the Nazis celebrating in Gaza and the terrorists..., today we are all happy and excited to see our loved ones at home again.
We will continue to fight until we eliminate terrorism and return everyone home to Gaza soon. The nation of Israel lives [Am Yisrael Chai].”

Chairman of the Noam Party, Deputy Minister Avi Maoz wrote: “Happy and moved to tears along with the whole House of Israel at the sight of the abductees returning home.
Accompanying the joy is a feeling of pain and shame for the fact that after 15 months of fighting the cruel enemy is standing on his feet and did not go down on his knees.

Member of the Knesset Keti Shitrit wrote: “Blessed are you, our God, King of the world, who releases the bound.”
“The return of Romi, Doron and Emily, refines the soul and uplifts the spirit. I salute the soldiers of the IDF and the security forces, who in the war of resurrection, made their return possible.
The State of Israel is committed to repatriating all of the abductees, and will do everything to bring the living to the bosom of their families and the dead to Kever-Yisrael [Jewish burial].”

Three innocent girls traded for several dozen convicted murdering terrorists.

That’s how valuable gazans are to the world. Each is essentially worthless.

True. Here is more:

Salem, D. (2022). We Are in This Together to Survive! Just Do the Right Thing. United States: Dorrance Publishing Company.

The politically popularized term “Palestinian People” originated with a Columbia University Professor Edward Said (1935-2003), who had a major influence on the thinking of such figures as President Barack Obama in Middle East affairs. Said originally described himself as a Lebanese Christian, but then began identifying himself as an ancient Palestinian, saying that the “Palestinians” had as much right to a home- land as the Jews— and so the quest for their own “Palestine” was born. The term “Palestinians” didn’t even emerge in the international jargon until United Nations resolutions in 1970. That was three years after the Six Day War that Israel won against the Arab states. “Before the 1970s there are no Palestinians on the table” for the United Nations to manipulate as a cause for “liberation,” he said. “This is the language of liberation,” he says, “when there is nothing to liberate here. British governed Palestine was lib- erated in 1948 when we Jews declared independence and returned it to their true ancient owners.”

There is a certain irony revealed in detailed historical events It must be TerVol at work: brain termites. In the world parlance of the 1920s-1930s-1940s, journalists and politicians used the term “Palestine” referring only to the Jews; never Arabs or Muslims.

Who remembers? In Europe, antisemitic mobs would scream that Jews “should go back to Palestine”.
