Trying to eat healthy?
More fruits and vegetables?
Well, you might be consuming something unholy in your quest for better health.
Let me ask you a question: how do you feel about letting Bill Gates coat your fruits and vegetables with his latest creation?
You know, the skin that God naturally put on fruits and vegetables is just SO outdated (sarcasm alert) that Bill Gates thinks he needs to improve it.
Yes, really.
Take a look at some of these reports:
I am unable to independently confirm whether Costco is selling Apples with Apeel coating on them, but CNBC confirms they are selling Avocados with Apeel coating:
yeah we don’t need to injest more Frankencrap
I wonder about Cosmic apples sold at a local store. They remain firm and crisp for over a month without refrigeration, very tasty as wee, while apples from the orchard go soft and mushy within first two weeks.
wee=well
Sounds OK to me. From apple territory here ;— Yakima Valley, Columbia Basin
Avocados? Who cares. Apples though, the best part is the skin. No bueno.
If A PEEL doesn’t wash off, it means you won’t be able to digest the nutrients.
Fruits have been coated and or kept in modified atmospheres for a long time.
On a quick read this looks very good. But with Gates name on it I’ll wait for the adverse reaction and fatality rates charts
It wouldn’t surprise me. Gates and the former Costco CEO Jim Sinegal are neighbors and have known each other for years. Both are radical dims.
Cosmic crisp are my favorite apple. They’re perfect, but as to how they got that way, I probably don’t want to know. They’re obviously waxed, which I hate. I think that will come off if washed in a citric acid solution. I never do that, but I have citric acid. I really should wash most fruits and veggies with it.
considering the way most fresh fruit varies in quality and taste, they are pretty unique
Even though you say you don’t want to know, I can tell you that they were developed at Washington State University (Go Cougs!). Their Agricultural Sciences division has developed other apples as well, but that was there crowning achievement so far.
Just recently, they announced a new apple variety, called Sunflare. They expect it to be available for sale in stores in 2029.
Cosmic Crisp are my absolute favorite apples.
I’ll pass
Coat apples with the competitors product !! Gates is Microsoft
Apeel doesn’t wash off.
You don’t find it APEELing?
“It wouldn’t surprise me.” Gates Foundation only gave $100k startup seed money.
No present connections.
Skeptical of this article.
I can find no Bill Gates link.
Costco at one time carried coated produce. Apparently not any more.

“I am unable to independently confirm whether Costco is selling Apples with Apeel coating on them”
Or that Bill Gates has any present connection with the product.
IOWS, Just click bait without substance.
