As Joe Biden nears the end of his failed term as president, a handful of mainstream journalists are finally starting to admit what most Americans already knew: The people (mostly journalists and other Democratic partisans) who kept insisting Biden was fit to serve another four years in the White House were profoundly wrong.
Jan Crawford of CBS News said last week that Biden's "obvious cognitive decline" was the most "underreported" story of the year. Liberal journalist Matt Yglesias conceded that his prediction that Biden would "prove his doubters wrong" at the now-infamous CNN debate in June 2024 did not pan out. "In a lot of ways it's more embarrassing to have been gullible and wrong when so many people with no sources and no inside info could see it clearly, but that's what happened," Yglesias wrote, pretentiously.
Well, we tried to warn you. The Washington Free Beacon was neither gullible nor wrong in our assessment of Biden's health, and we didn't need "sources" or "inside info" to tell us what we could see very clearly with our own eyes. We launched a weekly video series documenting Biden's "senior moments" back in July 2022, nearly two years before he bragged about beating Medicare on the debate stage. We sounded the alarm in April 2022, when Biden shook hands with a ghost, and again in September 2022, when he tried to converse with a dead congresswoman, and again in October 2023, when he froze at the podium, and on numerous other occasions.

I could only watch the video in 2 minute segments. I got so ticked off at the media while watching it, I had to keep taking a break to yell at my husband about the media’s lies and cover-up. I wonder how much they were paid by the Biden — then Harris — campaign to repeat their lies.

The well-rehearsed Biden’s convincing act for the gullible Hur kept Biden out of jail
Special Counsel Robert Hur is coming in for scrutiny from the press over his characterizations of President Biden’s memory. The special counsel’s report on Biden’s handling of classified information, characterized “significant limitations” in Biden’s memory during the president’s interview with Hur’s office.
Those limitations, in Hur’s view, justified a decision to decline to prosecute the president, despite Hur’s unflattering depiction of the volume of classified information discovered at his Delaware home and at the Penn Biden Center, and Biden’s mishandling of it.
Biden, Hur reasoned in his report, could be successful in presenting himself to a jury as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
But today, March 12, the full transcript of Hur’s interview with Biden was made public in advance of the special counsel’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee.
And as reporters noted, the Biden of the transcript looks quite different from the forgetful Biden described in the report.
“Biden doesn’t come across as being as absent-minded as Hur has made him out to be,” wrote the Washington Post. Both the Post and the Wall Street Journal described the transcript as “more nuanced” than the report itself in terms of what it showed about Biden’s memory.
Yet there’s an irony to the media’s criticisms of Hur in light of the transcript. Overstated though his report might have been, Hur’s interest in Biden’s age was no match for that of the mainstream press itself.
Consider how the Times and the Washington Post covered the original report. “Special Counsel’s Report Puts Biden’s Age and Memory in the Spotlight,” blared the headline of a New York Times article, which described the Hur report as a “political disaster.”
The Washington Post characterized the mood among Democrats as “hair on fire.” By one tally, the Times and the Post each published over 30 stories about Biden’s age and memory in the days following the release of Hur’s report.
“IS BIDEN’S AGE NOW A BIGGER PROBLEM THAN TRUMP’S INDICTMENTS?” asked a CNN chyron two days after the release of Hur’s report.

I absolutely resent this effort to whitewash historical fact. They were not "wrong". They knowing lied and mendaciously engaged in deception. They all knew. They are, themselves, the instruments of deliberate deception. This concept the media and others are using of simply "being wrong" is a naked attempt to further deceive and cover up their vulgar partisanship. IMO, this is like the Nazis who, upon the liberation of the concentration camps, donned prisoner or civilian clothing to try and cover and escape what they had actually done.

You are correct. The media was not simply wrong, nor were they hood-winked or misled. The media knew of Biden’s dementia and actively worked with the WH and Democrat party to cover up his failing health. We know this because when conservative media brought up the issue, they’d do entire articles or media segments accusing those media outlets and individuals of presenting “misinformation and deep fake videos”. They’d all use the same language as the good little mockingbirds they were.
The “media” is staffed and owned by sociopaths. Believe NOTHING they say about anything.

Truer words were never spoken !!! Anyone who watched the campaign of 2020 certainly should have known of Joe’s mental decline and dementia. Hiding behind COVID and the willing accomplices of the press in concert with at best “shady” voting and ballot-stuffing the Dems managed to place an obviously impaired, likely Aricept and Namenda dependent figurehead into the Oval Office. America and many around the world have paid a high price for what the Dems and press have wrought on the world. Hopefully, 12 years of Trump / Vance can do much to repair the damage.
