President-elect Donald J. Trump’s inauguration may get overshadowed thanks to a long-standing tradition following a current or former president’s death, and left-wing Americans are overjoyed.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, former President Jimmy Carter passed away in his Georgia home on Sunday at 100 years old. He had been in hospice care for approximately a year and was surrounded by family when he passed.
Because of this, the flags at all federal buildings, grounds, and naval vessels will be flying at half-mast for 30 days according to the flag code. A U.S. flag flying at half-staff shows a nation in mourning.
The flags are expected to remain that way until Jan. 28, 2025, according to People Magazine. Because Trump will be inaugurated on January 20, this sorrowful sight may be visible to millions of viewers.
Leftists who have been demoralized over their latest crushing loss to the 45th and soon-to-be 47th president now see an opportunity to celebrate this turn of events as a form of ‘karma’ rather than act like normal individuals.
Below are some of the worst offenders:
Flag protocol requires all flags to be flown at half-mast for 30 days after the passing of a president. This means flags will be at half-mast for Trump’s inauguration. Thank you for your final act of service, President Carter.

So? Tradition is tradition.
Trump should buy a giant American flag, the kind you usually see over auto dealerships and hoist it high over the White House just to stick it in their faces.
Trump should rescind the order immediately after he gets sworn in, then raise the flag to full mast at the inauguration!
Changes nothing, leftards. Trump is STILL your president.
They’re delusional if they think we’ll be paying any attention to the fact that the flags will be at half mast. Compared to DJT being sworn in, that’s like comparing an ant to an aircraft carrier.
I have no problem with a ceremonial half-mast period. I am just happy that that bullet in July was off target. I appreciate the good things that happen.
now see an opportunity to celebrate this turn of events as a form of ‘karma’
Karma... a pagan third world H1B idea.
Leftists. Stuck in their heads. Reality people. The flag flown at half mast is to honor the passing of President Carter. He was a President. Give him his due and don’t rob it from him but do recognize what it is for.
He was a Democrat. They only would be dishonoring one of their own.
It’s “Half Staff” on land.
That would be boorish.
The lowering of the flag has nothing to do with the inauguration, but in the minds of insane radical leftists, it’s their way of getting back at someone they hate.
They really need to talk to someone about their feelings.
There is no connection. So put the flag down for Carter and have the Trump party too.
“Half-Staff”
Flags seem to be at half staff more than fully raised over the past few years. I often have to look up why the flag is lowered. It is often to “raise awareness” over some leftist garbage. It should ONLY be lowered for the death of a president. As far as lefties being thrilled with the flag down on Trump’s Inauguration Day, so what? At least Carter lived to see Kamala and the left abandoned, and Trump brought back in. There is nothing positive I can recall from the Carter years. Nothing.
They kinda reaching for something to take solace in? How sad.
Leftist gloating is best totally ignored.
For sure, who cares. It will be Trump’s day no one who matters is going to be thinking about wrong way Jimmy
