I don’t think even Sheriff Elroy P. Lobo would sink that far.
The sheriff of Poole’s Paradise would.

Great Ironside episode even if the paddy wagon was sacrificed.
Some years back there was an overnight fire at a Chicago sandwich shop or deli or similar establishment. The firemen boldly walked off with all the equipment — slicers, microwaves / ovens, etc. I’m sure this goes on all the time.
What happened after he caught the two cops?
I saw a lot of cop corruption in Houston, and the beatings they used to give out were routine, planting of evidence, drop guns, and the city jail had what was called “the rubber room” where after questioning prisoners might have be dragged back to the tank unconscious.
Yep. It’s just worked its way down to the clerical desk job in government. They steal everything they can, including wages for work never performed. Really.
At least they have the benefit of Qualified Immunity! One of the largest attacks on civil liberties the black robed tyrants ever unleashed on humanity, and it’s high time it is reversed by CONgress.
Not all cops are bad. These are just in the 95% that give the other 5% a bad name.
He was probably arrested for some non existent crime.
The human species is often evil. Would that cops stealing emergency generators and the like were the limit of that evil.
I don’t remember, that was also the neighborhood bar where when my brother and his buddies were getting in the car to leave, a security guard pulled the one sitting next to my brother out of the car and shot him in the head as he lay on the ground at the open car door, nobody knew why he did it.
They probably sold them on the black market of gave them to friends and relatives as or for favors.
They have family and friends that are still out of electricity. All of them being in “extreme” need of electricity. “Well, they are supposed to go to needy victims...”
I knew a guy from our church that was a construction big-shot that worked on huge projects. He also helped with the homeless shelters. He would often put out the request to his contractors that the homeless place needed tarps, rope, plywood, generators, gas, etc.
They always came through for him (100 tarps, 5 generators, etc.). I didn’t poke my nose into it, but I’ve wondered if all of those new items were just charged back to his projects through the contractors. Put up a 30 million dollar building, and $5,000 in supplies every once in awhile isn’t going to be noticed.
Back the blue until it happens to you
Don't forget the flogging.
Thieves abound at police impound yards. They’ll often loot and steal everything in every vehicle if possible.
Most people wouldn’t believe what they find...
Let us not propagate rumors.
When I called the police after I found my brother dead, the responding officer saw money my parents kept on the step for easy access. He was kind enough to tell me a lot of people would be coming to the house and I would probably want to move it. Also, put my father’s medication in the cupboard. Just like the firefighters, EMTs, and military members, alot of people join so the police so they can serve and make life better for others. May God bless and protect those people.
I saw a headline just today to the effect that, omitting security and janitorial staff, a mere 1% of federal govt employees in D.C. show up at the office each workday. The rest are running the “work from home” scam. I’d love to see Ramaswamy and Musk slash and burn their way thru the D.C. bureaucracy, but I’m not holding my breath.
