I've seen videos of Loudoun County school board meetings before which reveals why they want to shut down cameras at public meetings. That school board HATES being exposed for what they are. And now this school board WEASEL votes down the cameras after running on a platform of "transparency."

It’s instructive that they are a vanguard of repression and fighting against the slightest hint that they are not top down dictators.

Not only should school board meetings have cameras, so should all classrooms. The classrooms can be slightly blurred, but people should know what is being taught.

They think they can decide that the 1A doesn’t apply to them. They are wrong. A public building and a public meeting with public officials that answer to the people...there is no expectation of privacy and people have a right to record. It’s exactly what we have a 1A for - to hold government accountable, they don’t get to decide ‘but we don’t like that’. Tough sh*t.
