Multiple legal standards:

One for Democrats elites: Don’t have to follow the law or worry about consequences.

One for poor Democrats: may be punished for breaking the law

One for Republicans: Will be punished for breaking the law, to the maximum extent if politically connected.

One for Trump: make up new laws to retroactively prosecute only Trump.

The Democrats said they believed in the “Rule of Law”, now you know what it means.

“Pardoning a president’s son could be an effort to obstruct justice, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) suggested in 2018.”

i must have missed that part in the section of the Constitution that grants the power of pardon to the President of the United States ...

Schiff’s an idiot. The pardon power would be meaningless if it could be twisted into an obstruction claim.

"The Congress ought to know whether the President is using the pardon power to obstruct justice."

The precedent of prosecuting a president after leaving office has already been established.

Any pardon is an “obstruction” of justice. Criminal proceedings must be ended or not commenced. That’s what a pardon is. That’s the whole point of a pardon — to interfere with otherwise correct and legal criminal proceedings.

And the Constitution gives the president the right to grant pardons for violations of federal law without any limitations on that power.

So Biden’s pardon of Hunter cannot be an illegal obstruction of justice.
