Sources from Ukraine confirm that Dnipro (Dnipropetrovsk), Ukraine, was a major facility for manufacturing missiles from Western components and relabeling them “made in Ukraine” to shelter the Western suppliers in the NATO war against Russia.
The Russian ICBM attack utterly destroyed the Yuzhmash manufacturing, which was an industrial giant even during the USSR. It made rockets during the former USSR and intercontinental missiles for the USSR. According to sources, the Yuzhmash plant no longer exists.
Most of the facility was underground. Ukraine was manufacturing drones and rocket engines, and this was where they assembled their weapons. There were three floors underground, each 10 feet (6 meters) high. Zelensky never thought Russia could possibly destroy this operation, but it has.
While this was just a conventional weapon, the impact was so powerful that buildings several kilometers from the plant shook and suffered damage. Because this facility was underground, all the pipes for the water supply in the city have been destroyed. Messages have gotten out, and the residents commented that it felt like an earthquake.
Keep in mind this was devastating, yet it was still just conventional. They could also deploy six nuclear warheads. Those hiding in bunkers are no longer safe during nuclear war. Perhaps the Neocons are trying to dig a deeper rabbit hole now.
Despite the Western Press still preaching the Neocon propaganda, emergency meetings reflect that this is a very serious development for warfare. Putin could have easily taken out Europe and American nuclear capability if he really wanted to conquer Europe, but he has been against turning this into World War III. The hardline Russian Neocons behind him also would love to wipe out their counterparts in America.
In a real modern war, carriers would get ripped to shreds!
First you comment “What I have read is there is no confirmed evidence of that and it is basically someone’s imagination.” and the. You comment “Who said it was a fake attack? Non-sequitur.”
Make up your mind.
It was a real attack, with 6 re-entry vehicles.
Just bribe leaders of our adversaries not to attack us.
It would be a lot cheaper.
:-)
I’ve seen plenty of videos about the effects of a nuclear blast at various distances away from Ground Zero, but how deep does one have to get to be safe from a nuclear detonation?

“Putin could have easily taken out Europe and American nuclear capability if he really wanted to conquer Europe”
Nonsene.
“but he has been against turning this into World War III”
More nonsense. Every step he has taken has tended to push things futher into WWIII.
Here’s my understanding based on some information I read a couple days ago. The missile has 6 MIRV re-entry vehicles. Then each of those six deploy six separate munitions. That’s 6 x 6 = 36.
The MIRV vehicles deploy at high altitude and can be independently targeted. The six warheads deployed at lower altitude. I don’t know how much steering ability they have, but the time is very short to change attitude. Maybe they can be instructed to hit different buildings within a compound or complex.
There were 6 MIRVs each with 6 “submunitions”.
The throw weight of the rocket at 500 miles was approximately 4,000 lbs.
This is a proven ability to strike underground facilities at a distance, and quickly too.
While there are several nations that could do this, Russia has weaponized it first. It’s in production.
Why would the US try to provoke an enemy posessing such weapons?

Say it again, why’all
Interestingly, my paternal grandfather was from Ekaterinaslav, the name of which was changed to Dnipropetrovsk during the time of the Evil Empire.
“Because this facility was underground, all the pipes for the water supply in the city have been destroyed.”
More interestingly, my great GF and his father before him made a living distributing water throughout the city. They’d bring a horse-drawn cart with a huge barrel on top to the Dnieper River, fill it up and sell buckets of water for a few Kopecki’s (Pennie’s, essentially) each. My GGF made enough money to employ about 50 workers, and invested profits into about a dozen houses - and the f’ing Communist bastards not only took everything from him, but murdered him in 1937.
…and now apparently his skills would be much in demand.
*kopecks.
The US has these.
wow. looks almost like lightning strikes. i hope Trump can end this quickly.
In the event of a nuclear attack, an Army Drill Sergeant trained us as follows:
1. Stand with your arms on your hips, feet shoulder width apart.
2. Bend forward from the waist down toward the floor.
3. With your hands, grab behind your knees.
4. Pull hard, reach up and kiss your ass goodbye.
I actually tried to teach that to one of my high school classes. Fun!
Edwin Starr
Still, there seems to be no actual evidence that is the case.
"This configuration would be highly unusual for a missile of this type, and no independent verification has confirmed this specific capability. Without further corroboration, the reported configuration should be treated cautiously."As far as I know, U.S. Intelligence nor NATO has corroborated the claim.
In fact, according to one reference, the Ukraine claim was merely that the Oreshnik MIRVs are capable of carrying six submunitions per re-entry vehicle -- not that they actually did. At present I believe the MIRVs were "empty", as do many intelligence analysts.
