The film released today by the Roddenberry Archive and their technology partner OTOY (in cooperation with Paramount) is titled Unification. It launched on The Archive web portal (at roddenberry.x.io) and via the Apple Vision Pro app. This is the fourth from the Archive’s “765874” series of films tied into Star Trek using a combination of live-action footage and computer generated imagery. William Shatner and other Star Trek vets were involved in the making of this new film. Check out what they describe as a “mind-bending Star Trek experience celebrating the 30th anniversary of Star Trek Generations.”

I am not much of a fan after he Robert Wagnered his wife, but I have to admit I hope I look as good as him at 92 or is it 93 now?
Both he and Van Dyke came out as Democrats.
93

It is pretty cool. I felt like I was watching a cross between the final scenes from “2001: A Space Odyssey” and the little “mind journeys” that Luke and Rey underwent in Star Wars. But from Kirk’s point of view.
The Critical Drinker and Dave Cullen—two of my favorite Youtube movie/media/nerd-culture reviewers—give them high marks. I don’t know what they mean. Perhaps the Original Series is finally over but Star Trek will carry on to “explore strange, new worlds.”
That sounds like a commercial for the Republican Party - ‘Rats, the Senile Party!
Yea it did remind me of 2001 with Dave Bowman seeing different versions of himself. The grey haired Vulcan lady was Lt. Savvik from The Search For Spock.
Not sure who the Vulcan behind her was. I notice she did her hair up something like what Spock’s mother (Amanda?) wore.
Shatner’s Canadian what else could he be!
LOVE the man. Couldn’t care less if he’s a Dem as he’s one of the few reasonable and rational ones. Adore him.
Heart and soul Trekkie here.
As for his wife, dirty rumors from gossip lovers.

Final autopsy results show that Nerine Shatner, the wife of “Star Trek” star William Shatner, had been drinking heavily and taking sleeping pills the night she died in the swimming pool of her Studio City home.
The former model and aspiring actress, who had two drunk-driving convictions and had been treated several times for alcoholism, had a blood alcohol level of .27 percent, more than three times the legal limit for driving, according to autopsy results released Tuesday.
Authorities believe Nerine Shatner dove into her swimming pool, slammed her head on the pool bottom and drowned. The autopsy report said she had bruises on her face and two cracked neck vertebrae consistent with banging her head on the pool bottom.

I’m done with everything Shatner after he came out and cried about us electing Donald Trump.
That's what crippled Charles Krauthammer when he was young, a pool diving accident. She could have immediately become paralyzed and was unable to swim to the surface.

It WAS incredible seeing Shatner as he appeared 50 years ago, and Spock in any shape, but I did not understand the whole thing. Was Kirk visiting Spock on his deathbed? And why was Kirk young and Spock old?
The Vulcan behind her was her Son with Spock. They conceived on the Genesis planet in ST3: The Search For Spock.
In one of the novels based after The Voyage Home movie, Savvik and Spock had a kid which is why she remained on Vulcan. The Vulcan behind her was their son.
I loved Krauthammer, too. I liked his rational, moderate approach and his deep thinking. He was a sad loss.
The cynic in me muses: perhaps that is how Shatner wanted it. We’ll never know how Nimoy would have wanted it. 🤔
Right.
Good job William and Robert protecting your late wives.
Alcoholics carry their own responsibility. You can try to help but only the alcoholic is responsible for giving in. Tee-totaler here. Father died at 49 from alcoholism. My sympathies are only with the families.
