Nations if they want peace.

Should always be prepared for war.

A strong defense is a good deterrent.

Sweden and Finland would be stupid not to prepare for war. Putin made his intentions clear years ago...they both have a lot more experience with Russians than Armstrong does.

Greta Thurnberg’s army is coming for us since we ignored their big Climate Change shindig.

The irony is that if they had stayed neutral like Switzerland they could just be sitting with popcorn and watching without any concern of being dragged into a major war. The genius of the “elites” strikes again! /s

Started long before 2014, too.
I doubt that Ukrainians forgot about the genocide of millions.

We are only alive because Putin allows us to be. Why haven’t we surrendered to him yet? Better to be a live slave than die a free man.

No worries. Since ancient Rome we have had the adage, “if you want peace, prepare for war.”

Given Finland’s history with Russia taking over part of their territory in WW2, Finland should have prepared for war the minute Russia began war with Ukraine.

The average Russian, European, American, Canadian, Japanese, and Chinese are uninterested in war.

This article is so riddled with fallacies and even outright lies as to not be worth refuting, sentence by sentence - but with regards to the above statement: It doesn't matter what the "average Russian" wants. Russia is now a dictatorship, and Putin wanted and wants war.

Regards,

At some point, US neocons will realize - it was a nice 30 year run, but its now a multi-polar world, again.

The sweep of world history, just reverting back to the mean.

This is idiotic. Russia isn’t attacking Sweden or Finland.

Sweden wants a war? They can’t protect their own people from the “refugees” they took in. That goes for a lot of European states. I think they should be careful what they wish for.

They can’t afford a war.

Dangerously, Armstrong knows much less than he thinks he does. Generally, with closely related histories, cultures, languages, and Orthodox churches, Ukrainians and Russians got along reasonably well until Putin decided to stoke separatist tensions and mount a soft invasion in order to weaken Ukraine and prep for a full invasion.

The claim that a victorious Ukraine would slaughter the Russians who live there is absurd in that in recent years many Russians fled to Ukraine rather than live under often brutal Russian rule. Nor is it accurate to say that "the ethnic hatred goes back centuries."

As it happens, during the 1930s, Stalin deliberately starved Ukraine in order to crush resistance to collectivization and sell their grain harvest abroad. This caused the death of millions of Ukrainians, whom Stalin then replaced by awarding their land to Russians who were resettled on highly productive lands in the east of the country.

This less than a century old grievance by Ukrainians against Russia and against Russians resettled on land stolen from Ukraine is the source of most of what Armstrong so broadly describes as "ethnic hatred."

Moreover, in order to ease that grievance, in the Soviet era Khrushchev ceded Russian Crimea to Ukraine. Putin, of course seized Crimea in 2014, which to many Ukrainians undid Khrushchev's award and diminished the legitimacy of Russian settlement in eastern Ukraine. In effect, Putin deliberately refreshed Ukraine's historic claims against Russia and compounded them with new injuries.

The Biggest Lie by Biden and Associates is Russia wants to seize land all over Europe; and in the next sentence they tell us Russia cannot defeat Ukraine they sure as hell ain’t going to seize land throughout EUrope.

Only NEO-Cons (NATO-Cons) and Democrats want war with Russia. As long as our Congress or Senate does nothing about Biden’s Act of War against Russia in “gas-lighting” American supplied missiles into Russia, the World and the US deserves the consequences.

That a lame duck dementia patient can create the ocnditoins for WWIII, Trump will wash his hands of Ukraine regardless of the Globalist Warmonger’s best efforts.

And why exactly are the people in the Donbass region more Russians than Ukrainians?

Hint, look up Holodomor. The USSR starved Ukrainians on a Nazi-esque level and then moved thousands of ethnic Russians in to replace them, something like the southern border invasion but under color of law...
