All of the can’t positions automatically expire at the end of a presidential term, so those nominations are made every election. The FBI director has a 10 year term, and is not automatically vacated at the end of a president’s term. So unless he resigns, Wray will still be the FBI director until Trump fires him. THAT is the difference.
Fbi director is a 10 year term and normally stays on after a new prez unless fired.
At the beginning of the first term for President Trump, there was one high ranking official who broke with the others and told Trump as much as he knew.

He didn’t know that. I do, however, think he should have turned down the nomination.
In Seesions eyes, I saw a compromised man. He had a weird mix of fear and shame going on. Like a Denny Hastert kind of compromised.
Trump isn’t going to let him anywhere near those things. He will have access to clean up the corrupt systems that required people to submit to medical experiments as a condition for employment. And the experiment was known to be deadly but the whole system covered that up. He is the one who can do this and it NEEDS to be done.
None of that on left column is going to happen.
