On November 6, 2024, a PhD professor in English, Sueanna Smith, penned a tweet on X suggesting that educated people tend to vote for the Democratic Party (blue), while the "uneducated" population is seen as hindering progress.
"There is a reason why educated people vote blue. What we're seeing is the uneducated population of America holding the rest of the country hostage. This is why there's such a push to weaken education, ban books, and outlaw the teaching of Black history by the Republican Party," Smith wrote.

A truly educated person would understand that her training to understand the nuisances of the English language does not translate into a superior understand of politics, economics, history or anything else.
What these indoctrinated adult children due is the logical fallacy of appeal to authority. Her argument basically parses down to “Because I am an expert at English, I have an expert opinion about everything”
No she is most certainly does not.

Hey Suzie, I voted for Trump, and I have a Bachelors Degree in Public Accounting, a Masters in Management, and have passed the CPA Exam. Is that good enough for you? And BTW, I learned to speak German during my 4 years in Germany.
