Republicans have won control of the U.S. Senate (44-52), retaking the chamber for the first time in four years. It gives the GOP a major power center in Washington and a lead role in confirming the next president’s Cabinet, as well as any Supreme Court justice if there is a vacancy.
Control over the House of Representatives is still up for grabs.
186 Democrats - 201 Republicans

The House is where the Democrats will put in their last minute fraud and manipulation efforts.
We need the house. The incessant impeachments will drive the nation nuts.
If there’s a vacancy? Hasn’t Kamala Harris already made the argument for expanding the Supreme Court? This is a great opportunity for Trump to say, “My gosh, you’re right!” and pack the court with *his* appointees.
And a Senate Leader who won't throw up roadblocks like McConnell did.
That comes out to 96 Senate seats.
What happened to the other 4?
FOX sounds confident the GOP holds the House
Still undecided as of yet, so it may get even larger!..............
I will never understand voting R for President and D for Congress.
That is retarded.
Impeachments have become a joke................
According to Townhall and other sources, the House now sits at 210 R and 194 D. GOP must win just 8 out of 31 uncalled races to retain a majority.
Trump needs legislation to enact his many programs, thus he needs full cooperation and a majority in the House.
As Cokie Roberts once observed about American elections:
“Americans love gridlock.” .....................
They’re still counting. When the democrat gets ahead then they’ll stop counting.
From your lips to God’s ear.

The House is still looking good and if we hold it it will be by only a couple of seats ... but that’ll do. Then Trump can concentrate his energy on fighting off the RINOs in the House and Senate.
That happens, but I think it’s mainly due to different Congressional districts having different populations sizes or different voting participation compared to the overall state.
Jerrymandering to dilute representation is also a factor.
I would love to know what system Florida uses for their balloting and counting. There were jokes that Florida recounted their ballots three times for fun while Pennsylvania (and others) could not count once.
Good point on the Gerrymandering.
NC is a riddle to me. Votes R on President and D on Governor.
