Interesting side note: most of the voters are showing their ID even though it’s not required in New York. It appears both Republicans and Democrats actually want to show their ID when coming up to vote and with the system of voting that we have. If they were required to show their ID and we could scan their driver’s license, they actually can get the vote much faster with proper identification.

Just my $0.02
Back to the polling place I go.

I voted early in Greenville, SC yesterday. Took about an hour to get through the line. Lots of people appear to be turning out early.

When we early-voted the line was unusally long and snaked inside AND outside of the building. We usually walk in, vote and walk out.

The people at the end of the line said that they had been in the line for an hour or so. I have read other articles about the same kind of thing happening all over the country.

The probem is not knowing for whom all of these people are voting.

In my county (WNY) there is only one location open for early voting. Not surprised the line is long.

Here is Owosso, Michigan the line was two hours long and getting longer. Got in and voted, though.

Working the poles

I was asked to stop working the pole and to get back in line.

Niagara County is a bit more right-leaning. Unfortunately, there are too many idiots in Erie County, which is why this area remains a backwater.

Early voted today in rural SW Michigan. Line out the door to the street this morning, was too busy for me so I returned this afternoon to cast my ballot with a much more reasonable line.

Here in a Republican suburb west of Detroit the line stretched across the parking lot into an adjacent field at 10 am, an hour after the first day of early voting began. One poll worker told us people were lined up at 8 am. There were about 20 voting booths. The poll workers kept saying they never expected this big of a turnout. It took about an hour from the time I got in line to walking out the door, and there was still a long line.

I voted in Florida on Wednesday.

There was no line.

I read today that 30% of the voters in my county (Sarasota) voted already, with the Democratic turnout percentage being greater than the Republican turnout percentage.
