Phone interview of a young family man living in a holler where most residents are related and mostly older. Details Fri morning when the flooding and mudslides started. Tried to escape by vehicle but the paved road in both directions was impassable. Went back to the holler town and made it to the church which was on high ground. Went back out with another young man and rescued an older guy trapped under trees and dead bodies of his neighbors/relatives. The older man who was injured was taken to the hospital eventually. A week later, the holler town has had no one come to fix/improve things or even bring supplies. Same situation in hundreds of holler & towns. Every valley basically. Saturated mountains/hills had 40” of rain dumped on them in a few hours.

Cody is a lifelong resident of North Carolina. He was thrust into both the roles of victim and rescuer in the destructive wake of Hurricane Helene. This is an on-the-spot interview of him recounting his tale on the evening of October 3, 2024.

“That is brutal, what the hell is FEMA doing?”

Bottled water and food has been bought by retailers long in advance.

Walmart has to ensure it has product coming in. And it has product coming in. It has to sell it. One may have to drive to a suburb of Charlotte or Knoxville to get it. Or ask somebody to drive you to an open Walmart.

For FEMA to get bottled water, it has to contract for it. Some bottler has to arrange to get additional plastic for bottles, get people to work more hours and pay overtime.
Once the production is planned, FEMA has to get timely trucking contracts to deliver water to the many places where it is desired.

Almost all rural homes have wells. Many rural folks have generators. Find a neighbor who has a rural relative with a well and generator and have the neighbor fill your containers as well as theirs.

Making sure illegals are taken care of, not some fly over maga deplorables

Imagine first thing FEMA will do is make sure planned parenthood has a trailer on site, ya know for women’s “healthcare”

Click on a place near you, and call to see if it is open and has food. Keep clicking and calling as necessary. Bring empty water containers.

Tomorrow is Sunday. Churches might let you get water if they have it.

>>Bottled water…

IF there was any sort of National Guard activity, they would bring in tanker trucks of potable water and water bladders to the various communities in need.

Truckers are saying that NO..NONE, loads are being scheduled for those hard hit areas.
Always, ALWAYS, right after storms they preload loads with things like pumps, generators, bulldozer, backhoe, etc.
This storm? Nothing.
The disaster clean up guys from the UP UP of MICHIGAN have not been sent. They always are on site within 4 or 5 days after with their log trucks to start removing debris so construction can begin.

Something very, very evil is occurring, remember the Hawaii fire awhile back? Same story, and that town is still off limits.

This should be a full military rescue operation with CH-47’s flying in water, food, medical supplies and hygiene products to stricken areas of NC, SC, Tenn and Georgia.

The road to Chimney Rock is gone - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPBtrJHADGE

Young guy walks most of the road or where it once was. Then the video jumps back in time to when he’s surveying his house damage and along with neighbors, starts cutting downed trees across his smaller road.

Hiking or helicopter is the only way in/out of Chimney Rock now. Helicopters drop cases of bottled water and probably have a regular route now.

Video did show military helicopters but it looks like private helos making the drops. Many .mil helos are too big to drop down into valleys.

When the video’s done, many similar will pop up.

And the Palestine chemical spill.

You are very right.

And it’s demonic grade evil.

IMO, the locals need to physically apprehend those *officials* who are holding up rescue efforts and throw their butts in jail and rescue people and save lives.

Not sure but a lot of local stores here in mid-SC are gathering supplies to take to NC. My daughter’s school found someone with relatives in the hard hit areas who has a large SUV he could pack with supplies. When I got to her school yesterday with our contribution he had already packed most of the back. He knew people who were participating in the Mule-train so he was confident what he was taking would get to people.
