The Seattle Times was destroyed by X’s community notes feature on Thursday after sharing an article titled, “Trump falsely claims CHOP protesters took over a big part of Seattle.”
Trump, during his debate with Kamala Harris on September 10, noted that radical BLM protestors in the summer of 2020 “went into Seattle, they took over a big percentage of the city of Seattle.” Not even the leftist moderators refuted his claims in their many one-sided fact-checks against Trump mid-debate.
Once again, Trump was debating the other candidate as well as the moderators. But since that failed, the media is coming in to lay more cover for the Democrats.
Elon Musk reacted to the success of community notes at combatting the real disinformation from the left with an emoji, expressing tears of joy.
“Former President Donald Trump referenced Seattle’s Capitol Hill Organized Protest during the presidential debate Tuesday night, falsely claiming protesters took over a big portion of the city,” reads the attempted fact check by Seattle Times.
However, as The Gateway Pundit previously reported, violent BLM and Antifa protestors sieged a six-square block area of Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood and called it the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ). Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best previously admitted “rapes, robberies, all sorts of violent acts” were occurring during the more than two weeks it was occupied by leftwing extremists and gangsters. The anarchists had been allowed to continue their game with the blessing of Mayor Jenny Durkan, who enabled and defended the chaos, lashed out at President Trump, and declared she would not allow the National Guard to intervene.

I remember quite clearly that they did. It was a no-go zone for cops, and a hive of criminal activity.
the news media also completely FORGETS that BLM protestors rioted in DC causing the entire downtown to be boarded up and a historic church was burned and a building within site of the WH was also burned.
But the protestors on J6 taking selfies with funny hats were the REAL threat!
LMAO
Reporter 1: "We need more smoke."
Reporter 2: "We're almost out! Gotta get some more rounds!"
Reporter 1: "I thought you had laid in enough smoke ammo for this whole campaign!"
Reporter 2: "We have never had a candidate that needs this much cover! Harris is something completely new! And Walz is not helping!"
Reporter 1 to Experienced Journalist: "More smoke, if you got 'em! You got any white phosphorous?"
Experienced Journalist: "Here is the last three rounds of willie pete! That's all I have left! I'll call into Garland at the fire direction center to see if he can get us some 155 smoke rounds!"
i also remember someone driving a stolen car into CHAZ to avoid police
the CHAZ occupants shot him
no one was charged
It appears that CHOP was about 8 city blocks, PLUS a large park that is about 3 city blocks large.
But of course this was just their safe zone. Their anarchist activities extended throughout the city during the day and night with their protests and vandalism and attacks.
And by their violent activities they “took over” a huge part of Seattle.
CHOP is still one of the usual suspects for violent, lawless activities in Seattle. Others are 3rd and Pike, 12th and Jackson, University District, South Seattle, etc. So what Trump must have meant in saying “a big portion of the city,” was “many portions of the city” — at least too many for the Seattle Times reporters to look away and not see.
I live halfway between Portland and Seattle. If you were on I-5 you could at times see cars and buses full of Antifa rolling back and forth between the two hellholes.
Proud boys kept them at bay, and protected citizens, they have now been destroyed by the US government. Labeled as Right Wing Insurrectionists and criminals. We participated in a MAGA drag twice, and they kept us from trouble as we attempted to get onto the WA state Capitol grounds. Cops wouldn’t let us in, Antifa and BLM locked it down. The State troopers and Police gabe them a safe bubble to destroy.
Everytime I saw pics or video of these punks, I wished to be 25 years old a carrying a baseball bat, wearing a helmet.
What should have happened was like Chicago 1968 DNC, or Kent State. Nobody protected city property, private business or citizens.
Some guy killed a “protester” on I-5 by skirting their on ramp blockades, by going up the off ramp and travelling the freeway. He hit one of them as they attempted to stop him... In WA, and America post O’commie era, he was convicted.
I never would have imagined allowing protesters to shut down an Interstate Hwy, like they do now. When I was a kid, I watched as “students” at the UW turned over cars of people. TV played live news coverage back then. My Mom and Dad, as Democrat as could be, were scowling and saying RUN EM OVER.... Things are REALLY changed.
Of course men wore work boots, and Flannel shirts were what men wore every day. You worked in Lumber, or at Boeing. Portland was the same, only more into logging.
I still love where they had to put out an appeal because after they invited all in, the homeless ate all of their food.
They tried their nonsense in my neck of the woods in Texas by showing up at a local Walmart to start trouble and came face to face with (besides the cops) very angry locals, bikers, and veterans, all heavily armed. They took one look at that and went right back the way they came.
They tried to start their nonsense in another town and got chased off.

They tried it in the suburbs of Seattle and where met with heavily armed locals lining the sidewalks and/or blocking the entrances to their neighborhoods. It was a great thing to see! No violence. Although some of the locals (liberals) still complained about the vigilantes with their “scary black guns”.
I remember, too. And there were some unsolved murders that occurred there.
