There's been an inversion now where the Republican Party has become the party of the common man, of working people, of the middle class, and the Democratic Party has become the party of Wall Street, the Military Industrial Complex, Big Pharma, BigAg, Big Tech, the Big Banking Systems and all of what @realDonaldTrump calls the Deep State.

Now you are gonna get some people mad at you for saying "the parties switched!"

But the truth is, 1860 Republicans were wealthy, corrupt, big city, tax and spend, "social change", Liberals.

They were what Modern Democrats are right now, and they even lived in exactly the same cities as Modern Democrats do right now.

They slowly went over to the Democrat party (started with FDR), and what used to be Democrats, thanks to Reagan, became Republicans.

The Democrat party has always been the party of tyranny. It was formed to protect slavery.

No it wasn't. It was formed by Andrew Jackson in the 1820s, and it wasn't focused on slavery. Andrew Jackson fought against the Bank of America, and efforts to manipulate monetary policy in the USA. He believed he was cheated out of the 1824 election, if I recall properly, and he formed the Democrat party to help him win the Presidency.

After Lincoln took away their slaves it transitioned to the Universal slavery of Socialism.

Under the law in existence at that time, slaves were "property", so Lincoln took away 5 billion dollars worth of other people's property. That sounds pretty socialist to me. Karl Marx himself praised Lincoln for what he did and thought Lincoln had done a wonderful thing to advance the cause of socialism.

This latest round of evil using the state to crush dissent and stealing elections fits the Democrat party like a glove fits a hand.

Like arresting thousands of political prisoners, arresting newspaper companies, arresting the entire legislature of Maryland, arresting a congressmen and issuing an arrest warrant for the Chief Justice of the Supreme court?

Yeah, Lincoln did that. He used the state to crush dissent. He even arrested Septimus Winner (Composer of such great American songs as "Listen to the Mockingbird", "Little Brown Jug", "Oh Where oh Where has my little dog gone") for writing a song called "Give us back our old Commander". (About General McClellan, whom Lincoln fired.)

Septimus Winner was only allowed to leave prison after he promised to get back all copies of the song and destroy them.

Lincoln was a ruthless man.

Conservatives have always been the party of the working class. We just have been suckered by the Republican establishment and their crony-capitalist friends. With Trump especially, many of those politicians have been replaced by actual conservatives. Meanwhile the Democrat party has full authoritarian and like all authoritarians need money to make it happen. Big money from rich people who will be paid back through policy decisions at the expense of the taxpayer.

Trump did this because he can’t be bought.
