There's been an inversion now where the Republican Party has become the party of the common man, of working people, of the middle class, and the Democratic Party has become the party of Wall Street, the Military Industrial Complex, Big Pharma, BigAg, Big Tech, the Big Banking Systems and all of what @realDonaldTrump calls the Deep State.

I never see network or cable TV. Are there Kennedy ads on TV making this case?

The betrayal by Cheneys, Romney and other assorted rinos puts a bow on the transition.

There are two Repubican Parties. The Bush&Cheney&Pence party needs to be annihilated—not the people, the party—in order for the party of the future, the party of the American ideal, to take its rightful place.

The Democrat party has always been the party of tyranny. It was formed to protect slavery. After Lincoln took away their slaves it transitioned to the Universal slavery of Socialism. This latest round of evil using the state to crush dissent and stealing elections fits the Democrat party like a glove fits a hand.

It would be more correct to say that the “Trump wing” of the Republican party has become the party of the common man. Sadly, much of the GOP “establishment wing” is just as owned by the aforementioned military-industrial complex, Big Pharma, etc. as the Democrats.

Too much money, power, corruption and not enough statesmen. Government of for and by the people will not exist again and hasn’t for some time. At least in this country anyway.

The real realignment will happen once Trump leaves the political scene. He is such a dynamic force that much of his support seems based on his personal charisma. I don’t think the new GOP requires a strong personality for leadership, as the philosophy of America First is a long term winner over globalism. The problem now is that Trump attracts such vicious opposition that people who might normally support his philosophy are bullied and intimidated. We definitely have a very sheepish society. I guess the result of several decades of educational and social indoctrination.

Yeah, there is much to say on that.

The democrap party also abandoned whites, men, the law, fairness, the working class, blue collar families, free speech, peace, the truth, Christians, objectivism, tolerance, etc, etc, and all that is just, good, and holy.

I never remember Republicans being the party of big wigs. Reagan, Nixon, Eisenhower, Truman? FDR and his ilk pretend to be for the people, but they are involved in steadily taking away freedoms.

Agreed. I get tired of hearing about how good the old democrat party was. They were always socialists. And there are no ‘good’ socialists.

“I guess the result of several decades of educational and social indoctrination.”

I don’t know if it’s been several decades but it has been in the last two.

We have seen having a relationship with your neighbors has disintegrated into spending time on social media.

Ain’t gonna work.

When I was kid, I could do something stupid 3 blocks from my house and my Mom knew about it before I could peddle home.

Now kids don’t ever go 3 blocks from their home. Heck, not even 3 houses away!

There was a flip in the 1960s based on race - until 1964 the democrats were the pary of the Klan; Martin Luther King Sr. was a Republican until flipping from Nixon to Kennedy shortly before the 1960 vote.

Ever hear of Vice President Rockefeller? Governor Winthrop Rockefeller? Nixon was a name partner at the Nixon Mudge Rose law firm.

The democrats have never been the party of the little people.
