It’s ‘Turkey’.
Not many will take this seriously. Mexico will change that.
Global gobble.
RE: It’s ‘Turkey’.
If you want to call it that, knock yourself out.
But for those who don’t know, Turkey officially changed its name to Türkiye (in English often written as Turkiye) in December 2021. This change was formalized when the United Nations agreed to recognize the country’s new name on June 2, 2022.
The name change was initiated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who argued that “Türkiye” better represents Turkish culture and values. The word “Türkiye” (pronounced “Tur-key-yeh”) is how the country has been known in Turkish for centuries.
This change was part of a broader effort by the Turkish government to rebrand the country and distance itself from associations with the bird of the same name in English.
Another fruit of Biden foreign policy.
So maybe we should say it Turkland instead of Türkiye. Türkiye appears odd in English.
Has Symbia indicated its intentions? Is that in the hands of ambassador Hearst, or President Cinque?
Another failure of the liberals in government especially the State Dept.
If Turkey invaded Ukraine from the rear, would Greece help?
The collapse of the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency is a bigger deal than most people realize or appreciate. The U.S. has so misbehaved on the world scene in recent years with a commensurate loss of credibility, that it may have overcooked its goose.
78 nations have applied for Brics admission ( anti US hegemony), what makes this important is how does the West react?
My crystal ball shows expulsion from NATO….a good thing…the sooner NATO dissolves the better.
All eyes on the much awaited BRICs Summit in October!
Turkey’s currency (the Lira) has been crushed, down 80-90% in the last 5 years. The EU won’t let them join. So of course they’ll turn to BRICS, they gotta do something. But what does this say about BRICS? A hodgepodge of basket case economies propped up by maybe two countries? I don’t see how it will work, and the countries that join and have strong currencies and/or are net exporters will rule over the rest.
The Palestinian Authority wants to join BRICS? They don’t even have a currency. They use the Israeli shekel. They can only really trade with or through Israel - the other nearby nations are poor, and exports have to go through Israeli ports. Israel does all their l tax collection and tax remittances for them too. I can’t see how they can join until they decouple from Israeli dependence. Can’t see how it’s a benefit to BRICS to invite them in at this point in time.
Oh, and more than 100 countries are meeting in St Petersburg, Russia for the Summit. Russia, my friends are leading the way in commerce and trade.
Need I ask what the West leads the way in ? WAR.
Patience my friend- we are entering historic times. The Brics M- Bridge Unit will be based on 40 percent Gold holdings, and each countries much needed resources, Gold, metals, food, energy, etc…the USD is mired in unpayable debt, which the world is no longer buying.
Say Adios to USD hegemony.
The collapse of the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency is a bigger deal than most people realize or appreciate.

Most here have no idea what you are talking about. The dominoes are falling, the Sauds renege on the Petro dollar, record amounts of US debt instruments are being sold off, our Federal Reserve is posting losses for the first time….Americans ignorance is the fault of our MSM not reporting on the new historical financial developments.
Many here will suffer greatly from the USD decoupling- a few will prosper. Prepare accordingly.
China will rob them blind
hell, i think the US should be a member...
