Oh shoot. The html didn’t work out. I’ll try reposting as a post to see if I can get those links clickable. Sorry.

Smartmatic runs Venezuela’s elections. It’s supposed to be fraud-proof. See https://venezuelanalysis.com/news/13801/ . The public is allowed to see the machine tabulations at each of the precincts and scannable QR codes give the results which are supposed to be transmitted to the CNE (the body which collects the tabulations and declares the winner) via secure means.

But observers were kicked out of some places and results were delayed after an alleged cyber-attack (see https://www.jurist.org/news/2024/08/venezuela-top-elections-official-reveals-irregularities-and-lack-of-transparency-in-presidential-elections/ ). However, the opposition to Maduro secured (eventually) about 80% of the actas (tabulation receipts) at the precinct level, and those totals showed the opposition receiving “roughly 6.2 million votes versus Maduro’s 2.7 million”. (see https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/02/americas/venezuelas-tally-sheets-intl-latam/index.html) . The opposition uploaded the actas to a website (as the government was SUPPOSED to have done but didn’t) - for which they are currently being investigated and prosecuted, along with forgery of official documents, etc (see https://www.jurist.org/news/2024/08/venezuela-supreme-tribunal-confirms-president-maduros-reelection-amid-impartiality-concerns/ ) Sound familiar?

“Council President Elvis Amoroso on Friday provided updated results from 96.87% of tally sheets, gave Maduro 6.4 million votes and Gonzalez 5.3 million. (see https://www.jurist.org/news/2024/08/venezuela-supreme-tribunal-confirms-president-maduros-reelection-amid-impartiality-concerns/) These numbers are wildly out-of-whack with what the actual published actas showed. Maduro’s government has refused to publish the actual actas to document their totals.

Smartmatic is suing Fox and Newsmax for defamation for claims of potential election fraud in the 2020 US Presidential election. Smartmatic executives have been charged with bribery regarding the 2016 elections in the Philippines (see https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/09/politics/smartmatic-philippines-charges/index.html ).

The Venezuela election theft at the hands of Smartmatic and the Maduro regime’s refusal to obey election laws, as well as their removal of the opposition candidate from the ballot and their persecution of anybody who opposed them - including prosecutions claiming that the opposition tried to steal the election - so closely resembles the Deep State playbook in both 2020 and 2024.

My question is why Congress is not requiring Smartmatic to explain how the published actas showing the opposition winning by a landslide in Venezuela were able to be turned into a Maduro win instead. And they should be required to document why any American should believe that the same didn’t happen here in 2020 and won’t happen in 2024.
