It marks the largest downward revision since 2009?

Hmmm, who was president in 2009.

I suspect that if you look back a while, you’d find a correlation between demwit administrations and downward revisions.

”It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday […] it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours?”

Secy Gina Raimondo oversees the US Dept of Commerce’s nearly 47,000 employees.

Raimondo’s DOC budget for fiscal year 2025 is $11.544 billion
$717 million more than the 2024 budget.

In FY 2024, DOC had $106.91B distributed among its 9 sub-components.

Some of the DOC’s sub-components include the National Institute of Standards, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the Bureau of the Census.

The department’s 12 bureaus are located in all 50 states and territories, as well as more than 86 countries.

The DOC’s mission is to promote job creation and economic competitiveness, and its budget includes initiatives related to trade enforcement, manufacturing technology, and economic development.

The department’s mission is to create conditions for economic growth and opportunity for all communities. Its work is guided by three concepts: innovation, equity, and resilience.
