It’s not until you're somewhat deep into yet another mainstream media puff piece of Kamala Harris that you come across a rather startling admission by Joe Biden’s former chief of staff, Ron Klain. He basically admits that the Democrats’ nominee for president failed in her VP gig.
The New York Times headline Sunday certainly might make you think that Harris had mastered the intricacies of the job: “A Vice Presidential Learning Curve: How Kamala Harris Picked Her Shots,” it reads. But after first describing how Harris was “deliberate and disciplined” despite the many pitfalls she faced as the first female vice president, the Times finally got to the point (emphasis mine):
[Klain] …acknowledged that she [Harris] was not always well served by the White House. “We were all united behind the idea she should be successful. We just didn’t find the path to do it,” he said.
“People really liked her,” Mr. Klain added. “There’s a lot of enthusiasm for her. And I don’t think we did a good enough job of selling her.”
Frankly, that assessment makes all three of them—Klain, Biden, and Harris—look incompetent. Political commentator and Fox News pundit Steve Hilton took note:
🚨 Ron Klain admits Kamala Harris failed as Vice President: “We were all united behind the idea she should be successful. We just didn’t find the path to do it."
Of course @nytimes buries this bombshell admission. Its headline? "Inside the Ascent of a VP Quietly Making Her Mark"— steve hilton (@SteveHiltonx) August 18, 2024
Meanwhile, although much of the media has spent the days since the beginning of Kamala’s campaign pretending she had nothing to do with the border and bears no responsibility for the fiasco, the Times begrudgingly admits it here [emphasis mine]:
But she was also saddled with no-win assignments, most notably tackling the root causes of illegal immigration from Central America, exposing her to Republican criticism. Stung by an early television interview that went awry, she became skittish about mistakes, asking whether an appearance or a line in a speech might produce another vicious viral clip. And her allies believed the president’s staff often clipped her wings, appropriating her initiatives for him to announce without building up her own public profile.
Notice how the authors manage to criticize what we can presume to be Republicans in their angle? Her senseless ramblings might produce “another vicious viral clip.” But what exactly is vicious about playing her own words?
We’ve also been regularly told how close the president and vice president are and that they have a deep friendship and respect for each other. Doesn't really pass the smell test, though:
Ms. Harris came into the role without a close relationship with her new president. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the two did not campaign together much in 2020, and there were sore feelings among some around Mr. Biden, including Jill Biden, stemming from Ms. Harris’s attack on him during a Democratic primary debate over his position on busing to integrate schools in the 1970s.
Biden also didn’t really need her “expertise”:
After a half-century in Washington, Mr. Biden did not need Ms. Harris to explain the capital to him, or at least did not think he did. She came with scant experience in international affairs that the former Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman particularly valued. He did not assign her to lead major negotiations with lawmakers as Mr. Obama had him do.
The long article is mostly deferential and complimentary to the vice president, but one can’t help but come away with one key takeaway: they’re trying to sell us a failed vice president as the next commander-in-chief. What could go wrong?
Wow. Joe Biden’s former chief of staff said Kamala Harris wasn’t a successful Vice President. Seems like kind of a big story. https://t.co/lIKGBiJcBn— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) August 18, 2024
Looks like the Rat Collective is mobilizing for another coup d’état
I want to see some of the many staff members and close aides to Kamala who off the record said she is an out of control shrew and mean boss who humiliated them and was impossible to please.
Get the stories out!!
Doesn’t one want a bestseller and twenty network interviews?
Thanks
Her drinking is problem too.
The might get rid of her at the convention.
The might get rid of her at the convention.
It’s pretty obvious that she’s either half drunk or stoned most of the time.
Maybe it was her blow and not Hunter’s that was found at Obama’s white hut.
They must be referring to the Lester Holt interview where Harris blurted out "I've never been to Europe, either!"
The thing about that answer is that Harris said it because she was still bitter that Biden excluded her from his first European trip after becoming President.
Biden went to the 47th G7 Summit in England on June 9-13 2021, followed by the 31st NATO Summit in Belgium on June 13-15 2021, concluding with a trip to Switzerland on June 15-16 2021 to attend a summit meeting with Vladimir Putin. Harris wanted to go, but Biden sent her to Guatemala on June 6 2021, instead.
Harris' interview with Lester Holt was recorded on June 7-8, 2021. She was still smarting from being excluded from the European trip when she blurted that out.
"People really liked her,” Mr. Klain added. “There’s a lot of enthusiasm for her. And I don’t think we did a good enough job of selling her."

CNN - Why Kamala Harris’ campaign may be unraveling
50.
50 former staffers talked to the media about her failings in 2019.
Obama didn't need Biden to "make him look better."
Obama "is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," but he was only in the Senate for two years and knew practically nobody in DC. Obama needed someone with a yuge Rolodex who knew all the players intimately and could give Obama instant credibility.
That's why Obama picked Biden.

Much like with Obama, there is something about Harris I dislike. With Obama it was his voice. I couldn't listen to the man. I read everything that he spoke. If I knew he was speaking I would find print versions of what he said. I still can't listen to him talk.
Harris is different, yet the same. It isn't her voice or even her Clintonesque cackle. It's her neck wattle.
I know, I know. Don't hit people on their appearance. I can't help it. I can't UNsee it. It's like a slit throat stitched back together...poorly. A tracheotomy gone horribly wrong. A garrote attack that failed miserably. And it’s what my eyes go to when she speaks and I'm stuck watching it in horror.
Either way, it's almost gotten to the point where I can only listen to her now. When I see her I can't look away from the wattle, nor can I avoid pointing it out any longer.
I think her wardrobe person should keep putting her in the turtle neck outfits she has worn in the past (those must have been bad wattle days when the humidity was high or something). Maybe put her in a scarf like the ones Deborah Birx used to wear.
Well, that’s out of my system. I must admit I feel better now that I've shared my situation. I hope that by sharing this others who feel the same way can know that they're not alone.
“Everybody liked Kamala”.......except her staff.
Only four of Harris’ initial 71 staff hires remain; a shocking 92% staff turnover rate.
The rest either quit or were fired, according to non-partisan fiscal watchdog “Open The Books.”
Signs of a toxic workplace?
Or does Kamala have a hidden agenda?
Fiscal watchdog “Open The Books’” investigation revealed a $2 million plus discrepancy in Harris’ allocation of taxpayer dollars. OTB calculated that for VP Harris’s 28 staff listed in the Senate report, the 2021 salaries added up to $2,334,223. But the vice president’s office “got $5 million for 23 full time staff in 2021 and requested over $6 million for 27 full time staff in 2022.
Harris’ office reportedly refused to answer any questions from OTB regarding this inconsistency. OTB said Harris’ office is a “revolving door” where there’s a perpetual staff exodus of key aides heading for the exits.......that might correspond to the $2 million discrepancy in her tax-paid payroll.
Payroll fraud entails serious crimes.......falsifying govt documents, misappropriation of tax dollars, skimming, larceny, check tampering, check kiting, billing fraud, payroll fraud, reimbursement fraud, pension fraud, misuse of tax dollars, theft of tax dollars, ID fraud, Social Security swindles, IRS fraud.
Cong Andy Ogles wants to impeach Harris; he should
focus on the $2 million govt payroll scam she pulled.

So much material for the RNC to use in campaign ads and they won’t do it.
Sounds right, but is there any possibility that it’s a “piling on”-type lie (libel/slander)?
NFN but that’s not a thing.
It’s only an adolescent myth.
Republicans pounce….
When your “solution “ to a problem you are supposed to solve is to make it worse yes I guess it becomes a “no win” situation.
Or better put by Bongino identity politics is cannibalistic by definition
When you have disparate groups with diametrically opposed demands. All cannot be satisfied and internal conflict is not a potential issue, but an inevitable outcome.
Or better yet you sleep in the bed you made
