Well, if you like this market collapse, open borders, world wars, and inflation - you’ll like Kamala.
I just wish we’d start seeing some creative issue based TV ads for Trump.

5% pullback is half way to a buy signal or the 2/3s of the way to the fed calling a zoom call for an emergency rate cut. Just enough people see a zero gain for 2024 in their accounts, they don’t bother voting for harris after 2 years of gains that just might have beat inflation. This is all yeild curve no matter what the media tells you, every normal inverted normal yeild curve cycle has a pullback in equities.
Tighten up you holdings and take some profits in the big names. Call options and directionals are heck of lot better re entry plan if you want to play the bounce with the traders.

It’s not about Kamala, it’s about the war that starts this week in Iran, and will close Hormuz Straits halting 30% world oil shipping

It was inevitable. Kamala, inflation, federal debt, foreign instability, etc. etc. Hopefully the voters will see that we need to throw the buns out.

I had four stocks, bailed on all this morning. NVDA, META, MSFT, and COST.
Up overall, but down 20% since June. It was sure fun for a while. :)

Buffett’s recent actions have raised eyebrows... the 93-year-old investment titan has been on a massive selling spree, offloading over 75 billion** in equities during the second quarter alone... Notably, Buffett also began selling his second-largest holding, Bank of America, in July. JUST IN: Warren Buffett now holds $277 Billion in cash and has been selling stocks like never before, including Apple. He’s getting ready for a crash… pic.twitter.com/7gNrDmsX97 — Radar (@RadarHits) August 4, 2024 According to Quartz: Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway has $234.6 billion worth of short-term investments in U.S. Treasury bills, the massive conglomerate’s second-quarter earnings report Saturday showed.Short term treasuries are a hedge against a serious crash. Hope I'm wrong.

With day traders, hedge funds, etc. the US Stock market has become home for speculators.
If you look at the Asian markets, they were hit even harder.
The US economy is still the strongest economy in the world and the US stock market is where people with money all over the world want to invest.
There will be lots of volatility in the US market, but if you are investing in the long term, it is still the best game on earth for wealth accumulation.

But according to all the polls, Kamala is waaaaaay out front. That should make the market happy, right?

Just profit taking and course correction. It’ll go right back up. Don’t panic. Good stocks are now on sale.
