It has been widely reported that the father of the alleged would-be assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, in search of his son, made a phone call to law enforcement prior to the assassination attempt, but there doesn’t appear to be any record of that call. How is that possible? More importantly, is that the only call that the father made when trying to locate his son?
Is the missing phone call just another anomaly in what is turning out to be a long list of weird, bizarre and unbelievable shenanigans that make up the story line of this attempted assassination?
The BBC, for example, reported on July 18th that “The father of the gunman who tried to assassinate Donald Trump called police before the Saturday shooting because he was concerned about his son.”
Additionally, the BBC explains, “Matthew Crooks’ father called police because he was worried about his son and his whereabouts, a law enforcement source told the BBC’s new partner CBS. It’s unclear when the call was made but it was before the shooting.”

Maybe there never was a phone call to begin with, I’m skeptical of any and all reports at this time, nearly every that has been reported so far has had reports saying the opposite.

This is more likely. The media is NOT trustworthy and will run any idle gossip they’ve heard or even make it up to get out in front of the story.
It’s sad that citizen journalists on youtube will do more due diligence than actual paid reporters in newsrooms (let alone make up stories like the NYTimes)

The first time I heard about a call from the guy’s father it looked like the news people got the time wrong by 12 hours. They news people said he called before the shooting, but something written on the screen said the call came in at 11:xx PM. PM.!
I understand it, the father called to report his son missing, but it was 11:xx PM., five hours after the shooting.
you’re right, we know all the federal agencies investigating the Trump assassination attempt have political agendas, the same goes for nearly all of the media outlets reporting on this event.
IMO, the goal is to throw as much crap against the wall to see what sticks and confuse the public in the process.
There will be so many competing stories, even if the real truth were to come out, it would not get a lot of traction becuase of all the competing lies that will be told.

Dad supposedly calling doesn’t wash. He earlier claimed the punk checked out the rifle and said he was going to the range. Both, or neither, are most likely true. But the folks have their butts hanging out a mile or so since their rifle killed somebody.

it started with NBC claiming the call was “after” the shooting, then morphed into it was before the shooting, and now maybe no call at all. keep muddying the waters.
