Merrick Garland claims he wouldn't ILLEGALLY appoint Jack Smith to go after President Trump. Why? Because he claims he is too smart for that. That was his excuse. More likely what happened was that he knew the appointment of Jack Smith was ILLEGAL but hoped that the rest of us wouldn't be smart enough to notice.
PING!
It was a costless option.
If Trump is somehow convicted, they win big
If the prosecution eventually falls apart because of various reasons, including illegal appointment of Jack Smith - its still a win
It generated negative headlines for 18 months, cost Trump a lot of money, cost him a lot of time and effort, and cemented the notion in 30% of leftist-ideologue America that Trump is a bad guy
For the deep-state, its a win however you slice it.
Then why did Trump's poll numbers go UP after the Manhattan Kangaroo Court conviction? It seems it BOOMERANGED on them because the cases were more than obviously entirely POITICAL.
“I’m smart. Not like . . . dumb . . . like everyone says.”
“I was passed over... for Gorsuch.”
Garland is a radical Leftist hack.
He’s not smart enough to tie his own shoes.
I have noticed something about liberals—the “legality” of anything is no deterrent for them. They simply do what they want and then challenge conservatives to do something about it. (Conservatives seldom, if ever, do!!)
Yes, Trump is trying, but the deck is well stacked against him.
Sure glad that this idiot is not on the Supreme Court. We are really lucky he isn’t.
He cannot be trusted because he is a politician first.
Agreed. And it sometimes takes months or years to have the decree nullified (RE: EOs). By that time, the damage is done and liberals have won.
“Shmendrick Garbage”..
