Japan is seeking the extradition of a U.S.-Canadian anti-whaling activist, who has been held in custody in Greenland since July 21, Danish and Japanese authorities said on Thursday.
Denmark has previously said Japan was seeking Paul Watson – founder of the Sea Shepherd activist group and the Captain Paul Watson Foundation – on charges of breaking into a Japanese vessel in the Antarctic Ocean in 2010, obstructing the boat’s business and causing injury as well as property damage.

Give them Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell.
Only when they stop killing dolphins and eating them.
And whales.
Killing both dolphins and whales for food is legal.
Piracy is not. That stupid boat should have been sunk with all hands.
L
Whaling is gruesome and should be banned. The Japanese,Chinese and other Asian countries need to change their bizarre fishing. The Chinese are fishing out areas to extinction. That and trophy hunting are my only “liberal” tendencies.
What about tuna?
You don’t care about tuna?
What a POS!
these two whales blubber but they just don’t carry the flubber.
hate to break it to you but NO ONE IMPORTANT CARES what you want or think. but feel free to complain. this is the Real world and sovereign nations conduct their own business their way, much like these United States of America does.
I like Japan but I also like whales. I think whales are threatened with extinction by Japan. I personally support the use of violence to stop them. If they want to kill whales in their own territorial waters that is something we or the world can’t do much about but in the oceans of the world I don’t think so.
Doesn’t it appear a little arrogant to tell other cultures what you deem approved for them to eat?
Reality TV morality plays are garbage packaged for the simple minded.
Bullshit! No, it's not legal. That's why the japs call their whaling scientific study.
Somehow their scientific study ends up on dinner tables. You're still a fool.
Dolphins are mammals. Mammals have big brains. Tuna are fish. Fish have small brains. Which means they don’t care if you eat them.
Was it arrogant to tell Japan they should stop killing millions of Mandarins?
> That’s why the japs call their whaling scientific study. <
Bingo. The Japanese get around sensible international whaling rules by claiming their boats are doing “research”. In reality, it’s all about profit. If it means an extra dollar, will kill every last whale in the ocean for “research purposes”.
Dudes a pirate.
Just because the whale is big it HAS to have a big brain. Doesn’t mean they can do anything with it. How big is it compared to their size? The same as a tuna. So in your mind a 1000 pound tuna is smart! lol
