Yup—we old timers remember the leftist “Free Speech” movement in Berkeley.
Once they seized power they decided free speech was “disinformation” and “hate” and needed “guard rails”.

Censorship is horrendous and getting worse. Note of late, for example, Facebook denying photo of Trump after assassination attempt.
