I’m very sorry to reach this conclusion: I have no confidence in the leadership of the United States Secret Service. I hereby call on Kimberly Cheatle to resign.

the Secret Service “expected the sizable contingent of officers from local law enforcement agencies to contain any threats outside of the secured zone but assigned almost all those officers to work inside it, according to numerous interviews w local law..

My god ….

With law enforcement focused elsewhere, a would-be assassin roamed freely outside the perimeter. The only officers who got close to him were ones who left their designated posts to do so.

Their job had been to direct traffic

Some interesting numbers are coming out of the Trump shooting debacle.

We discover there are 7100 Secret Service Special agents and 2800 Task Force Officers, plus Uniformed Division officers, Technical Law Enforcement officers, and administrative, professional, and technical personnel on the tax-paid govt payroll. Complete with perks, privileges, bonuses, and pensions.

Mayorkas’ Homeland Security Investigations division has over 9,800 Special Agents and tactical officers on the tax-paid govt payroll. Complete With perks privileges bonuses and pensions.

As of May 23, 2023, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had some 10,100 special agents and approximately 35,000 support professionals: intelligence analysts, language specialists, scientists, and information technology specialists.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff is comprised of nearly 2,000 civilians and service members from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard—over 800 are civil servants on the govt payroll.

The Dept of Homeland Security has more than 260,000 employees in jobs that range from aviation and border security to emergency response, from cybersecurity analyst to chemical facility inspector on the govt payroll as of Jun 11, 2024.

That all sounds alarmingly suspicious——like the age-old scam of putting phantom names on the payroll with the attendant eye-popping financial windfall, ending with several govt pensions for whoever’s cashing in.

Let’s get Congress to check it out.

The opinions that count most are those of the agents on the stage with Trump.

I call on an independent law enforcement agency to investigate this attempted assassination. There are way too many questionable coincidences and lapses in judgement.

This isn’t the dunk this commenter thinks it is. Prior to this, only one presidential assassination attempt out of maybe two dozen, JFK’s, had involved a shooter outside of that inner ring. Hinckley was yards away from Reagan. The issue is that public events involve a cast of thousands, one or more of whom could be assassins. They all have to be watched.

“According to the Compost, Secret Service request to get additional security was DENIED“

This is not the issue it is a diversion. The issue is they had eves on a guy with a rifle with line of sight on an ex President for over half an hour and waited for him to get the shots off. This is what matters now.

They can't force her to testify if she resigns first? That doesn't seem to make sense. Does she have to get indicted with something by a court to start grilling her there?

there are probably some technical aspects to this. As an employee she may be more compelled than a citizen with a citizen requiring a different setting, subpoena, etc.

Maybe someone can chime in about the differences.

And yet the picture of the bullet whizzing towards President Trump tells the true story. A bullet fired from the roof top would make a downward trajectory not straight across as pictured. Unless of course, on top of everything else this 20 year old shooter was able to accomplish without being caught, he also had magic bullets.
