Did you pick up Captain Queeg vibes while watching Joe Biden's July 11 press conference? If so, there is a reason for that as you can see.

The big difference is that Queeg was the Captain of a relatively small ship. BTW, I read "The Caine Mutiny" on a flight from West to East coast. I picked it up at the last moment before boarding at the LAX book store and was so fascinated by it that while almost everybody else was sleeping on the middle of the night flight, I was transfixed by it and couldn't put the book down. By the time we landed on the East Coast I either finished the book or came close to finishing it.

Very very good!
Me-I’m looking at the scheduled convention speakers this week. Nobody I want to hear I must say. Even Mike Pence. It’s not worth spending the whole day for us junkies. Even Biden’s problems will bring out the gentlemen rules to fight by I must say. We hear these people all the time so a big party’s gonna lift us up? A few cheap shots at all democrats minus Biden are in order. Won’t happen.

Like Queeg, Biden has an excuse for everything. Every. Little. Thing. The man does not take responsibility for any flaw or failure. Only takes responsibility for other people’s achievements or for his own fantasies of success.

Needless to say, Biden is very unstable. He’s really nutty.

I just heard that the plan is for the Democrats this weekend to just offer Biden CASH to split. Nothing about the good of the country or any of that. Just a big PAYOUT to leave the ticket.

Money won’t do it Jill likes being POTUS.

This great! You are absolutely right — the parallels are amazing.
I really enjoyed “The Caine Mutiny” which I read probably 50 years ago.
I also very much enjoyed Wouk’s “The Winds of War” (1971) and “War and Remembrance” (1978). You’d enjoy those, too.

I’m think more like captain Pike on the old Star Trek.

Captain Queen and his co-captain, Doctor Jill Queef.

"From Here to Eternity?"
Read it.
"The Thin Red Line?
Read it.
"For Whom The Bells Toll?"
Read it.
"War and Peace?
Read it.
"I The Jury?"
Read it and every other Mike Hammer book. I don't read quite as much now but for a long period of my life I was reading at least three books per week and often one book per day so... Read it!

That makes sense. And, as you say, no mention for the good of the country. The good of the country is way down the list for the bastards.

Yes, the Cain Mutiny was a good book and the movie was excellent, too.
The Winds of War is one of my favorite series, as is War and Remembrance.
At least Captain Queeg loved his country.
