I think this is exactly what we object to - at least for me - when it comes to making idols out of mere folks - the lack of morals in our country...has always been so - doesn’t mean we have ever liked it or ever will.. Judgmental? Sure...but as some here say - so what?

I, for one - can’t speak for all - wouldn’t have any objections to this person if she didn’t flaunt her lifestyle around the world. If she wants to be trashy, do it in private...Does it get her a following? Sure!!!! What does the boyfriend get out of it? He has a filthy mouth and obviously she approves of it!!! No reason to believe that hers is any different...

Have you actually seen Taylor Swift at all? EVER? You seem to be confusing her with a whole lot of other women in entertainment and popular music.

It certainly does appear that folks just hate for the sake of hating.

There are plenty of examples of women who used their sexuality rather than having any talent to sell albums in pop music. Taylor Swift hardly falls into that category.

Seems your problem is that you feel some folks worship her as an Idol, and that’s not an unfair thing to conclude, but hardly is that because Ms Swift is out there asking them to, ordering them to, or even claiming to be an idol to be worshipped. Seems your beef is more with the those who are out there attempting to capitalize on her fame.

The Media are indeed souless, and the pushing of trivial nonsense (bread and circuses if you will) is what they do. However, its a giant jump from how the culture and media is to blaming it all on some performer who happens to be popular.

Yes the worship of celebrity is insane, and folks shouldn’t do it... but this isn’t the case of some “influencer” who offers nothing but for some reason has fame mainly for just being an insipid vapid selfish whore. YOu seem to want to cast her as just another Kardashian or something, and that’s not remotely accurate or appropriate.

There are plenty of folks you can throw that critique at, but honestly, she’s not really one of them. If anything she’s handled her fame far better than most, and while she certainly enjoys the privilege that comes with having such a loyal and large fan base, to date I have not once seen or heard of her doing anything that I would consider abusive of those folks, or shown anything but respect and appreciation for them.

Like I said I am not a huge fan of hers, but I as a man, and a father, have not seen anything out of her that warrants the vitriol and hatred that some spew her way. Consistently when I ask those that spew the hatred her way, why... the inevitable conclusion is their hatred really has little if anything to do with Taylor Swift herself.
