In 2023, Chuck Todd asked Doug Burgum if he would ever do business with Donald Trump
Doug Burgum, "I don't think so. I just think that it’s important that you’re judged by the company you keep."
This isn't some gotcha, it was just last year

Trump often forgives. But I don’t think Burgum offers anything to help Trump. And consider Ramaswammy, he refused to donate to Trump when others were. He made that choice public. Yet he and some see him still viable.
Some entity is on the Burgum warpath. I’ve sewen numerous hit pieces the past few days.
Vance has quite the history himself of disparaging Pres Trump.
Everyday the debate rages, cements in my mind that Gov Sanders is the best selection.
Another snake trying to get near Trump.
Burgum: “I just think it’s important that you’re judged by the company you keep.”
Ummm, Dougie, would that be like your good friend Bill ‘Mengele’ Gates ?
Roger Stone this morning is advocating Tulsi Gabbard would be best for Trump seeing how she took out Kamala during the primaries.
> But I don’t think Burgum offers anything to help Trump. <
Bingo. Trump won North Dakota with 65% of the vote in 2010. I would hope that Trump instead picks a solid conservative who can help in a swing state.
Oops. I meant in 2020.
I can't think of any because he is already winning those states. The challenge are non-conservative states and in those a solid conservative will not help him, might actually hurt him.
“Everyday the debate rages, cements in my mind that Gov Sanders is the best selection.”
Or that black senator from South Carolina. I don’t particularly like the senator but he probably doesn’t hurt Trump.
Because he is black, it makes him just a little harder for liberal women school teachers to criticize him (the VP pick.)
I agree with Tulsi Gabbard as good choice, she will help with Dems, wayward Dems, and Independents. Those are people Trump needs to add to win purple and blue states.

I should have been more specific. I want to see a “happy warrior” conservative as Trump’s VP. Someone with Reagan’s personality would do just fine.
But you noted, if that person is too conservative, it could be counter-productive. So Trump has to think carefully here.
Uhhh.... That “black senator from South Carolina” just recently reaffirmed his belief that the 2020 election was fair.
That leaves him out of consideration.
“Doug Burgum” sounds like the noise my stomach makes after eating a bad burrito. He’s also a weird looking fellow with his dark bushy eyebrows.
Headline: Doug Burgum Says: “I won’t do business with Trump!”
Me: Who is Doug Burgum? and who cares?
“I agree with Tulsi Gabbard as good choice, she will help with Dems, wayward Dems, and Independents. Those are people Trump needs to add to win purple and blue states.”
Ditto. She’s one of my choices.
No, it's very easy, two words: "Uncle Tom"
I detest the Burgum. He is a phony toe-tapping self-serving politician in the Larry Craig mold.
For the love of Our Lord, please God, Holy Spirit, guard President Trump from evil, self-serving men. Keep Burgum away from your servant President Donald Trump. Strengthen President Trump's discernment with your grace. Amen.
Has he changed his mind after spending time with Trump, or is he a fickle opportunist? I don’t know anything about Burgrum, but I do know that your common everyday politician is often not the image that they project themselves to be. Speaking of rich guys, I hope Kevin O’Leary has a great job in the Trump administration.
Its not going to be Burgum. JD Vance doesn’t look too bad.
