1948: Meir Tobiansky, by summary judgment

On this date in 1948, an alleged spy was extrajudicially executed by the Israeli Defense Forces. This execution occurred during a short truce punctuating Israel’s War of Independence, but prior to the ceasefire the nascent IDF had become suspicious at Jordan’s gift for accurately targeting critical infrastructure in Jerusalem.

Suspicions came to settle on Meir Tobianski a Lithuania-born former British officer who had become a captain in the Jewish militia Haganah: as an employee of the Jerusalem Electric Corporation, he would have made a great informant for enemy artillerymen.

On June 30, 1948, Tobianski was kidnapped and driven to a depopulated Arab village (present-day Harel, Israel), where four intelligence officers demanded to know if Tobianski had given any information to his British colleagues at the utility (he had), and then declared him condemned as a spy. (Efficiently, they had already prepared the firing squad ahead of time.)

This is well known, and completely infiltrated by Arabist loving Kim Philby (Soviet) placed agents.

Menachem Begin (remember jimmah cahtah’s Peace Accords- the IDF gave Sinai back to the Egyptians after kicking their a@@es all over the place. Anwar Sadat was murdered by the Muslim Brotherhood for signing this-and Begin and Sadat share the Nobel Peace Prize). A perfidious terrorist became Prime Minister, and completed his job by cultivating the Muslim Brotherhood- of which obamaumao the first was and is a member. Imagine that. Brit Nazis vs Israeli Socialist terrorist. Seems a fitting response. There are still people alive who remember all this.

You assume they imprisoned them all? Ridiculous. Churchill put Moseley away a fortnight after he became Prime Minister in 1940, and the Labour types (Communist backed) continued to harass the nation of the UK- for their own gains.
Moseley was released from internment (he was not imprisoned under Brit law but interned under wartime regulatons per Parliament) because Parliament insisted, to house internment in 1943, 3 years before the 1946 bombing. The Israeli debacle became a vehicle for Moseley’s re-entry into Parliament, btw.

Moseley had many Brit army followers throughout the war, and notably on the International Control Commission after German surrender in 1945. Postwar recruitment of Nazi intel done with their influence. Instrumental ones inside Brit forces in the Mandate. Begin was a Polish soldier, most do not know. Revolt from Haganah is what created Irgun, and Begin was right in the middle of it, having survived Poland/Soviet/Nazi waves. No surprise he would bomb the Brits, working for future Mossad.

I assume everyone who was a card-carrying BUF member was imprisoned or purged from the government.

Are you speculating that secret sympathizers remained in the government? But since they were secret (no official ties to the BUF), it's just speculation.

Tobianski was killed by a drumhead court by a business/personal enemy Isser Beeri who accused him of espionage due to some direct hits from jordanian forces on Beeri’s interests that Beeri used to “officially” take out a rival.

Or something along that line.
