As a matter of hindsight, Trump’s worst strategic error was to agree to debate Biden before he was nominated at the Democrat convention, after which, he could not be replaced. He wants Biden as an opponent because he is so beatable and will assure success in congressional races as well. No one could foresee the complete train wreck last night that now gives Biden time to withdraw and be replaced. I am one of those who thinks Biden will withdraw not within weeks but within days as soon as the first after debate poll shows Trump now tied with Biden in NY. It was that bad.
