I’m confused. What is Adderall supposed to do? I see in the local paper here every now and then of people being arrested for having Adderall in their possession.

It simulates coke. It gives you a mental boost. ADD or AHAD patients are given it for concentration to study. It helps focus the mind.

Some idiots crush it and snort it, as to what end I do not know.

What is Adderall supposed to do?

Just saw a documentary on it. It's really popular among college students who claim it allows them to be super focused and be able to withstand the rigors of whatever task they are undertaking.

Kind of in a law school / med school type environment where the kids push to be at the top. Kids who wouldn't normally do drugs, feel pressure to do so in order to compete with the kids who are. If you're studying for three exams, you're competing against kids taking Adderall who are studying for those same three exams. That sort of thing.

Originally, I think this was meant to be an ADHD drug. It was supposed to help kids with concentration issues be able to focus better. Then I think kids started taking it more as a performance enhancing drug and it exploded in popularity.
