This approach saves an extraordinary amount of energy compared to normal computers, but there is a big problem. The lab-grown miniature human brains keep wearing out and dying, and so scientists have to keep growing new ones to replace them.
Stem cells that are derived from human skin tissue are used to create the 16 spherical brain “organoids” that the system depends upon. I realize that this sounds like something straight out of a really bad science fiction movie, but it is actually happening.

There is just one enormous problem.
The mini-brains keep dying and must be regularly replaced.
At first they would die “in just a few hours”, but now they are apparently living for up to 100 days…

After reading this I don’t think anything will surprise me anymore, as long as there are so-called “scientists” and investors with no morals.
Why would they grow a brain when they could easily get a planned parenthood live birthed a baby and take its brain, ready for use?
just wait until some genass puts these brain cells in an armed robot then feeds it some nuke.
So, if those cells are used to allow paralyzed people walk again…is this unethical?
This story is written to be as inflammatory as possible. These are not “enslaved human brains”. They are human stem cells that are induced to develop into neuron clusters. I have worked with human stem cells. The most abundant source is from fat tissue collected from liposuction procedures that otherwise would be disposed of as biological waste. The stem cells could then be used to reconstruct the breasts of women who had breast cancer surgury (which the writer would probably call enslaved human breasts).
There was a sci fi story about how warfare and weapons design peaked by adding humans to missile designs so that they could unpredictably guide the missiles towards a target, evading missile defenses while on their suicide mission within the missile itself. Manned missiles, that’s the ticket!
This is extremely evil. I pray that these things are not sentient, because that would be a torture worse than death. Whoever is involved in these experiments is committing a crime against humanity and against God, imo. And I hope that they are held accountable.
Haven’t we already long been adding human brain cells to mice brains in order to increase their intelligence by orders of magnitude and have lab animals to study that mimic human brains? Supposedly, they were destroyed if they showed overt signs of supernormal sentience and awareness... Does anyone really believe they were destroyed and that the sentience and super awareness was not the goal all along?
