Ben Carson to Meet with Trump this Weekend

I’m looking forward to being in my hometown this weekend with my friend and our next President, @realDonaldTrump .

I’m not worried about the voters. Trump dwarfs Biden in actual human voters. The problem Trump had was in being surrounded by people and agencies he could not trust, including people involved with the election process.

Dr. Carson is someone I completely trust. He is loyal, and he likes Pres. Trump. He’s not a politician. He doesn’t have ambitious ideas of becoming something more. Like Donald Trump, Ben Carson genuinely cares for people.

This country needs healing. We’ve been fortunate that Joe Biden’s policies have been so bad that various groups of people are uniting for Trump. Having someone who is completely trustworthy as well as having a calming effect on people would work perfectly with Trump’s more over the top personality.

Ben Carson and Donald Trump working together would do more to bring this nation together than any other combination of people I see out there. The last thing Donald Trump needs is someone known for stabbing him in the back on his ticket. No Haley, no DeSantis or any other less than trustworthy person. The people who say Donald Trump’s greatest fault was in choosing people disloyal to him would be immediately put at ease at the VP position. Then they could both work at putting the rest of the US citizens at ease. They are going to need to do that given the work they will need to do cleaning up DC.

There is a lot of truth in what you write.

My point is that the electorate, broadly, doesn’t seek these truths anymore.

It sort of started in 1992. Bush stabbed us in the back. Clinton was a leftist boomer who had slick charisma and a repulsive sidekick. Perot, in some ways, was the best of that trio but the nation wasn’t ready for that kind of leader yet.

In 1996, 2008, and 2012, the Presidential race became a beauty pageant. In 2016, it became wrestling.

This year, it’s a live rock and roll concert. And we want Diamond Dave fronting the nation.

I believe there are many people who’d gravitate to Carson. But there are more people who want a Veep that will match Donald’s showmanship.

I wish it wasn’t that way. But here we are.
