The Barnacle immobilizes cars with 1,000lbs force, aiming to deter illegal parking effectively.
Citizen Watch Report ^

Picture this: a bright yellow contraption adheres to your windshield like a determined barnacle on a ship’s hull. But this isn’t marine life—it’s the Barnacle, a high-tech parking deterrent that’s turning heads (and immobilizing wheels). With suction cups boasting a whopping 1,000 lbs of force, it secures itself to your car, rendering any escape futile. No more clunky wheel clamps; the Barnacle is sleek, efficient, and, dare I say, oddly captivating. But fear not—there’s a QR code escape hatch for those who’ve crossed the parking law abyss. Welcome to the future of parking enforcement!

Roads are for cars, not bikes, bike paths are for bikes. I've seen way too many "White Bikes" on display at fatal bike accidents to deem riding a bike on a road safe.

Or, you could just insert your head in your back hole and ignore your tyrant rulers. Whatever you do...don't fight back.

So you take pride in illegal parking, vandalism, and destroying property. Got it. Nice to know you’re such a fine upstanding citizen.
Now I wanna hear your pretzel rationale for your actions.

No rational. I hate people who profit off unsuspecting people. The strip center is closed by 6pm and the pizza joint and dive next door only have four spots. There is probably 100 spots sitting empty all night because some towing company convinced the strip center to give them the contract to tow tourists who don’t know not to park in the giant open lot next to a popular place. The signs marking it for towing are tiny, not visible from the street and faded so as the be barely readable. It’s a total scam and I take great satisfaction in helping screw over people who profit on screwing over others. No apologise will ever be given. Flat out don’t care.

I’ve always found it odd that the “solution” to illegal parking is to render the car immobile. I mean I get they’re trying to force you to pay the fine so they’ll remove the block. But it’s still goofy. “Hey you can’t park here, and to prove we’ll keep your car where it’s not supposed to be.”

^^^^^this

It’s not a fair system when the only people profiting are the bloodsucker tow truck goons giving kick backs to the land lord of the leased strip center. If there was giant signs right out front so it’s clear that the strip center are crooked people would see them and not park. More importantly they would also avoid giving them.business at all for not being good for the neighborhood. F them F them hard.

The people on WEEI Boston radio were complaining again this morning about bike lanes. They are now talking about reducing Bolyston Ave in Boston down to one eastbound lane. By adding two bike lanes. Boylston is one a the main streets in the Back Bay section of Boston.
It has major buildings on it like the Prudential Center. Hynes Convention Center and Berkley College of Music. It is one of the main streets in the city.

Yep, I visit and stay there annually for a friend's Christmas Party. Last year we took in the Pops :)

I always park for Red Sox games in the Copley Center garage. Entering right in front of the Sheraton. $25 to park for a game. About a 15 walk to Fenway from there.
It is just off Bolyston.

Plus the Copley Center garage is just off the Prudential Center exit off the Mass Pike. Very easy to get to.

My favorite Barnacle story is something as follows (saw it on Reddit, so who knows if it actually happened):

University staff member finds car barnacled. He scans the QR code to get his phone to the payment page, then tapes up aluminum foil on in the inside of the windshield, and wraps the thing in aluminum as well. With an ersatz faraday cage blocking signal to and from the device’s SIM card, he moves on to the next step.

Next, he pays the fine. But with the barnacle unable to receive its release signal, it remains stuck. After that, he calls the phone number and complains that it won’t come off. He has the guy on the other end of the phone verify payment, and attempt to tell it to let go. Of course, it doesn’t.

Finally, now armed with proof that he paid the fine and even called in the problem, he gets out a drill and disables the unit, making sure to damage it in multiple critical places, enough to force it to be written off.

Campus parking rent-a-cops bring the issue to the actual campus police, who side with the guy who destroyed the barnacle, because what else was he supposed to do at that point?

Excuses, excuses, excuses. what gives you or anyone else the right to park on another business’ private property? Common sense should tell you not to park there. The poor unsuspecting people huh? I never park anywhere without making sure it’s legal. People are responsible for their own actions. It’s up to the people parking to scan the whole parking lot for signs. Just more people crying victim .he only case you might have is if the signs are unreadable. But you said they were barely readable. So they were readable.

#1, If someone places something on my vehicle then it’s a nice gift and it henceforth belongs to me. I’ll do with it as I please.

There is no #2.
