I believe that one of the IMPROPER reasons to classify material is to avoid embarrassment or prosecution. It’s supposed to be about preventing harm to national interest — not your own self-interest.

It’s supposed to be about preventing harm to national interest — not your own self-interest. The government is full of people who believe the national interest and their own self-interest are the same thing.
